We took a sunset boat ride and it was absolutely magical. The sky turned into this stunning canvas of oranges and pink and the gentle waves made everything feel peaceful . Great times in Zanzibar. Loved it
My friends and I took a sunset cruise in Zanzibar, and we're so glad we did. The sunset here is really something special ... it’s different from anywhere else we’ve been. Watching it from the boat was peaceful and the views were amazing. It was a perfect way to wrap up the day. Highly recommend it if you're in Zanzibar...
I had an amazing time on the sunset cruise! The yacht was immaculate, and the views were breathtaking. The host was incredibly welcoming, ensuring every detail was perfect for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy a beautiful evening on the water.
I want to begin this review by saying we have never written a review but we feel so strongly about how misled we were and how negative our experience was. We will also be pursuing a formal refund for the experience we paid for was entirely not what was provided. We began our experience by getting picked up at our hotel and led down the road and handed off to two more people who over the next 15 minutes led us to a boat with about 10 other people on it. No one asked for our ticket or our names and we were given little to no direction but hopped aboard. There was little seating but we found a nook in the corner to sit. We waited for 10 minutes and then moved along the shore line to begin what we thought was going to be a great sunset cruise. However, over the next 40 minutes, we proceeded to stop at various places on the beach to pick up more and more people until there were about 30 people on the boat. Many who were very inebriated yelling and playing their own music over the drums and musicians. At this point, no drinks or snacks were offered to us. Keep in mind, we paid $45 each for this experience and an additional $34 EACH for the drinks package. We later find one raggedy cooler with a single local beer and three waters in it - that’s apparently what our $68 drink packages went to. The fruit that was offered was cut with a dirty knife and served on a platter that was “washed” with ocean water. While the musicians were amazing the “crew” was first hard to identify and never introduced themselves. Rather they sat on their phones on the bow completely ignorant to the patrons except for the times they would yell at certain spirited patrons. We may not have felt so strongly if we had paid $10-20 each like we assume many of those who hopped aboard had but Trip Advisor, a reputable company, has marketed an experience that couldn’t have been further from reality.
It was a great 2 hour sunset boat cruise with lovely staff. The boat was clean, snacks good. We really enjoyed this dhow ride.
Nice 2-Hour Tour African Musical Mood Insured! And what landscapes! Beautiful sunset and stunning colors
Tour was advertised as a sundowner tour with drinks and snacks. Weren’t even offered so much as water. Just cruised to a point and back. Pick up was also 15 mins late
I don't know where to start because the experience was so bad. The departure was scheduled for 16:30 but we waited 45minutes before we could get in the boat. The Romantic Cruise turns into a common waiting room where we made 5min sea to stop in the middle of the port waiting for the sunset for more than an hour facing the port yards. Sitting on wooden seats without cushions as shown in the photos, listening to the crew members talking to each other was not the best activity of the day... A bottle of water and a samoussa as alcoholic drinks and snacks that the crew hastened to eat after offering them to us. For us this ad is a scam and we do not recommend it! Luckily the sky was Clement and offered us a beautiful sunset. If we were to give advice , it would be to wait and see about this kind of activity which is very widely proposed and which will cost less than on the internet.
You scammed us, as shown on the itinerary no where is stating this as private boat cruise, you refused to pay additional cost and beat our guide. We had right to go to authorities but we let you go for company reputation. Private boats available at 400$ + not the amount you paid.
Recommended. Everything was accomplished as promised. Certainly to be performed in an instance in Zanzibar.
Beautiful sunset on the Indian ocean, our driver picked us up from our hotel, took us to the departing point. we set sail on a traditional boat. there we spent 2 hours onboard. super cool guide, and he gave us fun facts about zanzibar.
