We had a nice driver and a smooth pickup, but overall the afternoon safari was a little disappointing in terms of wildlife sightings. We saw several deer, a crocodile in the lake and some peacocks, and with a lot of luck, a leopard briefly appeared from the bushes. There were around 30 vehicles, as the driver had warned us, but luckily our Jeep was in a good position for the leopard sighting. At the end of the tour, we also saw an elephant. However, our best elephant sighting was actually on the way back, when an elephant and its baby crossed the road just outside the park. Overall, we had expected to see more animals, but the driver was friendly and the organization and pickup were completely hassle-free.
Came to Yala to see leopards and was not disappointed! Srimal was a brilliant guide — he was tracking by listening to birds and knew exactly where to take us. We saw not one but two leopards, the first at a watering hole in full view! Can’t beat that sighting, and pictures don’t do it justice.

The experience was beautiful, our guide was really helpful!
We had a wonderful time, thank you. Ishan, our guide, was excellent! He picked us up at 5am and dropped us back 12 hours later. We saw the first leopard 15 minutes into the safari and another one later. We saw elephants, water buffalo, crocodiles, painted cranes, eagles, jackals, spotted deer, peacocks, kingfishers and so many more animals! Thank you 🙏
Very good!! It was such a nice experience that we will never forget, and that is all thanks to Srimal! We really wanted to see a leopard, and thanks to Srimal’s great communication with the other guides, we were able to see one three times! Twice, the leopard came really close to our jeep, just like the elephants. It was an unforgettable experience! 🐆🐘❤️
Very good experience, I really enjoyed the tour! Sumith was great and we saw birds, a black bear, elephants, mangooses, monkeys, crocodiles, deer and from very far a leopard! Breakfast was great so thank you and we had plenty of water for a morning tour!
We booked this guide on getyourguide and the organisation was excellent. We were messaged beforehand about pickup spots and timing. Our tour guide was called Srimal - he was enthusiastic and was dedicated to ensure that we saw as much as possible so we are extremely thankful for that experience. He made sure that we saw leopards, sloth bears, elephants etc as well as providing us with biscuits and water. Would definitely recommend!
It was an amazing safari, its not because if the safari only but the safety, service, hygiene, punctuality everything was on spot. As a solo female traveller it gets quite scary to leave at 4 am in pitch dark but all my fears were allayed by Darshana as he came across as an extremely safe and kind person to be around. He went above and beyond to sight the animals. All efforts are commendable and atleast deserve a tip at the end of it. But tipping isnt mandatory..my opinion please tip if you enjoyed it
It was great, we saw a leopard, elephants, crocodiles, many birds, an eagle, water buffalo, deer, and even the bear a couple of times, one of them with its cub, we had been told that it is very difficult to see. Also, the guide lent us binoculars and explained some interesting facts to us. 100% recommended!
