Willamette Valley Wine Tour - Pour les groupes privés

This tour was exactly what we needed! Communication before the tour was clear and concise, we were picked up on time, and had a great guide (Alex) who was knowledgeable about wine and the region. Highly recommend this tour or the group tasting tour. Hint: go off-season, roads are clear of traffic and no waiting at the tasting rooms!

The 3 wineries we visited were all great for different reasons. First one was Lange which had incredible views and wine, second visit was Furioso and the views and interior architecture were unmatched, as well as the wood fired pizza but the wine here was not good at all considering a flight was $80 a person. Finally, the last stop was Arborbrook Vineyard and the host there (Charles) was incredible and inviting, and the wine was amazing for the price. The reason for my lower rating for the tour is not because of the winery selection, but because of the driver. For a semi private tour with pick up and transportation in between I was expecting to feel hosted a bit more than we were. Upon pickup our driver, Stas, didn’t say much other than hello and lead us into the sprinter van. We were staying in Portland so we knew we had about an hour to the first stop, however, he missed several turns and exits on the highway so it turned into an hour and a half. When we asked more info about the Willamette valley region, he said he would tell us more upon arrival, but that never happened. When we exited the van for the first stop, I would have expected him to say welcome to Lange winery you can enter through those doors and you’ll be greeted for your tasting. I will plan to come pick you up in an hour and a half but if you would like to be picked up earlier, please text me. Instead he literally didn’t say anything and we had to ask him all of these questions. The same thing happened at all of the wineries.. we got off and there was just no communication about anything.. we were just expected to know where to go and it was very weird. When we asked him what the third stop was he proceeded to say he forgot the name. We pretty much paid a hefty price tag for Ubers in between stops… my entire group felt the same way that we would have expected a little more information from the driver about the local region or just communication at all. Finally, our drive home ended up being close to two hours because he missed turns again on the way home and when we finally realized it, we had to map ourselves back and let him know where to go which was the opposite of what I expect when I hire a driver. As a passenger I should never have to be paying attention to the directions, I should be confident in the driver doing so. So much of this tour experience depends on your driver for the tour, so if you can confirm you would not have Stas as your driver, or if you have different expectations, then I would recommend. Otherwise, would prefer another company to book with.

Great communication, on time pick up & drop off, friendly staff. We booked a private wine tour, picking up & dropping off in Portland for eight people. A great time overall. We would use them again. Well recommended!

Great experience! We were a group of 8 women who wanted to do a private wine tour, experiencing the beautiful landscape of Willamette Valley. Bus came to our airbnb for pick up and drop off. All very beautiful wineries and great atmosphere. Would recommend!

To see how everybody had a great time. Shawn(driver and guide) was great. He organized and helped in answering questions. He was the perfect person for the group.

What a perfect trip! We visited three winerys, traveled through beaurtiful scenery, had a spectacular lunch and enjoyed the whole day. Our driver, Sean, was wonderful! I'd highly recommend this trip.

Six of us spent a beautiful September day in the Willamette Valley with Paul as our guide. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the wineries. We visited 3 very different wineries and stopped for lunch in Dundee. A fun day that we’ll always remember. Thank you Paul from your new Georgia friends.

I have always taken "bus" or "group" wine tours, but this time I treated me and my wife to a private tour. Jessica M. was our guide for the day, picked us up at our hotel, toured two wineries giving us the history of the area and locations, took a lunch break, toured two more wineries each getting better and better (maybe because of the wine), and she returned us safely to our hotel. The ride was comfortable, very enjoyable, and reasonably priced for a private tour.
