Description
Il s'agit d'un superbe cycle guidé d'une demi-journée qui vous permet de découvrir les incroyables paysages côtiers du Wild Atlantic Way. La visite vous emmène sur des promontoires et le long de plages sauvages à travers la campagne irlandaise luxuriante et verdoyante. Vous verrez des vaches paître dans les champs et des cultures telles que le maïs briller et se balancer au gré de la brise. Nous commençons par le musée Lusitania/Old Head Signal Tower avec vue sur les Old Head Gold Links, le port de Cork et la magnifique région de West Cork. Nous longerons deux plages avant de nous arrêter dans un pub irlandais traditionnel du village de Ballinspittle. Ici, nous prendrons un thé/café ou une boisson gazeuse avant de revenir à vélo à travers une campagne plus magnifique jusqu'à notre point de départ. La visite consiste à faire du vélo sur un terrain moyennement vallonné. Il convient aux couples, aux groupes et aux familles avec enfants plus âgés. Pour les groupes, l'itinéraire exact de la visite peut être adapté à vos besoins. Les vélos et vélos électriques sont fournis avec casque et gilet haute visibilité.

Notre point de rendez-vous ! Il s'agit d'un petit musée installé dans une ancienne tour d'observation. Il y a un petit café et des toilettes.
Pendant que nous pédalons, nous suivons une partie du Wild Atlantic Way, un itinéraire routier balisé de 2 600 km (1 600 miles) le long de la côte irlandaise. Cet itinéraire a été sélectionné pour suivre les meilleurs paysages et expériences culturelles et historiques de la région.
Nous longerons cette plage sauvage en vélo, appréciant souvent de voir les gens nager et pratiquer d'autres sports nautiques comme le surf et le kitesurf.
Nous nous arrêterons pour prendre un thé/café ou une boisson gazeuse dans un pub du village coloré de Ballinspittle. Il y a un café en plein air où nous pouvons nous asseoir s'il fait beau.
Le temps restant sera consacré à parcourir la campagne à vélo.
Nous terminerons notre visite là où nous avons commencé, à Old Head of Kinsale. Pourquoi ne pas entrer dans le musée et visiter le toit-terrasse pour profiter d'une vue encore plus imprenable sur la région ?

We try to get out of the touristy areas and see some countryside and ebikes are a great way to do it. Ruth was a great guide taking us along some rural roads and explaining some of the local lifestyle. The bikes were well maintained, easy to use. Even though you will see some local traffic, the Irish are accustomed to safely maneuvering around walkers and bikers and Ruth was great at giving us instructions when and where we needed to pull off for traffic. Highly recommend Ruth and this bike trip.

Ruth was extremely helpful with getting our bikes booked and ready, she is so responsive to emails and was on hand on the phone when needed. The bikes were excellent quality and perfect for a cycle along the coastline - E bikes recommend for those hills ! The views were stunning and Ruth recommended the perfect route. We booked the e-bikes for three 50-something aged couples of mixed biking/athletic ability. The “pedal assist” bikes were easy to use and made the tour struggle free for everyone. I hadn’t rode a bike in 40 years, but all of my nerves dissipated minutes after I started riding. Our tour guide, Ruth, was amazing. She took us along the coast, through a forest, and along scenic back roads. Her historical and cultural knowledge of the area is unmatched. Most of all, Ruth was patient and kept us safe on the bikes and roads. Our stop at the cafe gave us time to enjoy truly delicious scones, tea and cappuccino, as well as breath taking views of beaches and the water. I highly recommend making this tour part of your itinerary if you are visiting the Kinsale area. Worth every penny, and you will feel like you accomplished some real physical activity, even though the bikes are set to do all the “work” for you if you want them to.
