Great learning and entertaining experience with Kenny. Enjoyed the whole visit!
Vivienne our guide is as wonderful as the story and the taste of the whisky
Top The tour was great and the guide was awesome
Everything worked very well. All the team at the distillery were very knowledgeable and friendly. Really interesting tour, enjoyable and delicious whisky tasting of the 12 and 15 year old single malts, and ending in the really well presented shop. Thanks to guides Cameron and Carlos, and Bill and Bob in the shop. I’d highly recommend it, and book direct via the Glengoyne website.
Vivienne was fantastic!! Robert and Vivienne were very informative!
Excellent tour and tasting! Robert was a fantastic tour guide.
Fantastic whisky tour at Glengoyne Distillery!. Deven was a brilliant, funny and knowledgeable guide who made the experience really enjoyable. Beautiful place, great whisky and lots of fun! Highly recommended!
We did the malt master tour as a cruise excursion. It was fantastic. If you are a whisky fan, this is highly recommended. Our guide Vivienne was the best, very fun and answered all our questions well. She understands the entire process and business. You get a tour of the actual distillery building and learn how they make it, then over to the tasting room with more explanation about barrels, wood types, aging, flavors, etc and a wee dram of the good stuff. Then we went to a room that took me back to chemistry class where we got to blend our own whisky. She taught us how to appraise each of 5 cask strength samples for color, oils, taste. I learned how to smell it with the mouth open, how to watch the oils run down the glass, how to taste it a second time after adding a drop of water. Then we made notes and decided what percentage of each to blend and used graduated beakers to measure and mix. After crafting our unique 200 ml bottle, we made labels and they signed off and sealed the bottles for us. And we got to drink the leftovers. 😁 Our time there was about 2 hours plus gift shop time after. You get a small discount on everything including whisky as part of your admission. We got a free sample of the 21 year whisky there. The cost is extremely reasonable for the value. Our cruise group was 24 people and they split us into 2 groups of 12, so it never felt too big for anything. Excellent restroom was available. The whole place had a country lodge vibe, very cool, nothing industrial or commercial scale about it.
It was a lovely time with Distillery with Kathy
Our tour guides Viviene and Robert were very nice and made the tour very personal and lively.
