very knowledgable staff and plenty of whales, one even came up under the boat the Glacier and falls were magnificent
This was awesome. Only 21 people can fit so it is easy to get around the boat and find good viewing spots. Would highly recommend! Judah was an awesome captain and very informative. Chelsea was very helpful and informative, too. This is a must!!!! Whales were guaranteed and we saw whales! We also saw seals. Fabulous indoor and outdoor space!
Great, small group whale watching trip. Over 3 quality hours on the water! Judah was a great captain. Found cool whales with 5 minutes. He has great knowledge about the Ketchikan area , wildlife and sea life. Small, local, family run business. Definitely recommend this tour!
we just had the most amazing day with this husband and wife team! if you're in Ketchikan and want to whale watch in comfort on a top boat with a great team, this is the only tour to book. Saw a mother and calf and loads of humpback whales, sea lions and bald eagles.
We’ve been on several whale watching tours during our trip around Alaska, and without a doubt, this was the best experience of them all. From the moment we stepped aboard, it was clear this wasn’t your average excursion. The boat is luxurious, spacious, and comfortable, with the freedom to move around whenever you like. They even provide binoculars, so everyone gets a fantastic view. One of the biggest advantages is that this boat can travel much farther out than the larger excursion boats operating from Ketchikan. That made all the difference—we saw more whales on this three-hour tour than on every other whale watching trip we’ve done in Alaska combined. Lunch was excellent, but what really made the experience unforgettable were our hosts, Judah and Chevy. They were knowledgeable, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about giving everyone the best possible experience. Judah took things to another level with his incredible tech skills. After spotting a Mother & Calf, he launched a drone and was able to follow them from above, capturing breathtaking footage that he later shared with us. Seeing these magnificent animals from both the boat and the air was something we’ll never forget. This tour is quite simply the holy grail of whale watching experiences. Every detail has been thought through, and the level of service, comfort, and wildlife encounters is second to none. If you’re visiting Ketchikan and you’re thinking about booking a whale watching tour, don’t waste your time looking elsewhere. Book this one. Trust me, you’ll only regret not booking it. We will be shouting about this to anyone that wants to listen. Thank you Graham & Philip Cornwall, UK
Great tour that gets you closer, faster to whale and other marine life activity for viewing. The 21 passenger maximum is a great limited size (Our tour had 12 people plus the captain and first mate). The boat has a front deck, back deck and second level deck for great options to see the wildlife. Also, the heated cabin has captains chairs for everyone with ample supplied binoculars. The Captain found the whales (and other marine life) and kept us at a respectful distance while giving us great viewing opportunities. All in all a tour can't get much better!
We loved this tour! Judah and his crew were great, lunch was delicious, we learned a lot and it was beautiful. Thanks for a fantastic experience!
Very nice boat. Judah the captain worked hard to show us whales, and we got great views of humpbacks and orca.
What a way to start our Alaskan adventure. This excursion puts you right in the heart of how one would picture Alaska seeing it for the first time. Being on this charter, we were surrounded by the immense beauty of this incredible place. Then, nature takes over and it’s a pod of orcas right by our side. Absolutely incredible experience with these majestic creatures. What makes this charter even better is how it’s run. Judah is a wealth of knowledge- we left feeling even more in awe of these incredibly intelligent mammals. You can tell he truly has a passion for what he does. Being on a smaller charter compared to the other tours allowed us more room to see the orcas up close. We always had enough space around the boat. It’s also an hour longer than most charters (3 - 3.5 hours compared to the 2 hour tours). Believe me, you will want that extra hour to take it all in. Add coffee, hot chocolate, cider, and lunch (delicious wraps from a local cafe), and you’ve found the perfect whale watching experience.
Beautiful clean new boat, captain and mate (his mom) were fantastic, very knowledgeable, personable, and found whales and seals. Lunch was excellent, I would highly recommend this tour.
