Helen showed up exactly on time in a beautiful and super clean Tesla. She took us all around the area showing us where locals go and lots of information. Lunch was fun and quirky. She even whisked me the mart for olive oill and chocolate.
Dear Anna and Randall Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I am so happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour and the quirky lunch stop at Scorchorama. We strive to give our guests memorable, and personalized tours, and it’s fantastic to know you were also able to take a little souvenir of Wellington's finest Olive oil and chocolate from our local market back home to enjoy. Wishing you many more safe and happy travels. Kia haumaru te haere Helen
Helen was an amazing guide extremely friendly, knowledgeable and articulate.. We were able to work around the lines at popular destinations.. We saw the best of Wellington with loads of options to customise our tour.. I would definitely recommend booking.
Kia ora Chris and Naomi Thank you so much for taking the time to share this fantastic review. It warms my heart to know you enjoyed your time in the capital city as much as I enjoyed meeting you both. Yes being a small operator means we can cover a lot of ground and we strive to personalise our itineraries to suit our visitors interests. Wishing you both a safe journey home. Kindest regards Helen
Helen was a perfect tour guide, has given us a nice picture about Wellington. She was also fun to drive around with for a day
Dear Marion and Ger Dank u Wel. Thank you for your kind review, it means a lot to me to know you both enjoyed your tour of our capital city. It was a pleasure to host you both and I wish you safe and happy travels for the remainder of your cruise and journey home. Met hartelijke groeten Helen
Our guide Mark did a wonderful job of showing his city & explaining the history. He took us around in his comfortable Tesla Model Y, and we enjoyed the included lunch at a seaside diner which is very popular with the locals. We would highly recommend this tour.
Hi Mark, It was a pleasure to meet both you and Pauline, and to take you around the city and the south coast of Wellington on such a beautiful day. Wishing you safe travels, Mark
Traveling a city like Wellington is best done in a personal vehicle. So Mark Waddington’s super clean and comfortable Tesla was a perfect choice. But our day with Mark was about so much more than a nice car. Mark’s friendly and accommodating style made him easy to talk to and ask questions. He offered many insights about the city and spent an above-and-beyond 7 1/2 hours with us. (Our deal was for four to five hours.) Mark drove us around Wellington Harbor with stops at Parliament, atop Mt. Victoria, the public cable car and museum, and Te Papa Tongarewa Museum, where we experienced the chilling World War I Gallipoli campaign exhibit as well as Māori culture and wildlife exhibits. We enjoyed a fun lunch at a pop culture gem called Scorch O Rama at Scorching Bay where menu items poked fun at a certain U.S. president and his public policies. The restaurant featured a wall of classic Marvel comic book covers and Lego Star Wars models that would rival anything in the U.S. when Mark delivered us back to our cruise ship., we felt like we made a new friend. We wish we could give more than five stars to Silver Cloud Tours and Transfers. Mark and Helen deserve it.
Hi Deb, Thank you for your very kind words. It was a pleasure to meet both you and Alan, and to show you around Wellington — I really enjoyed spending the day with you both. Wishing all the best for the rest of your cruise, Mark
Unfortunately we picked a wet and windy day to be in wellington however Helen was brilliant always positive and adapting things to fit with the weather and made sure we had a good time. Helens knowledge and passion for Wellington and New Zealand really made the tour for us and we would not hesitate to recommend this tour.
Thank you so much C & J for posting this lovely review. It was a real pleasure to host you and you were certainly good sports navigating the wet weather we had that day in the city! Fortunately the clouds parted at Mt Victoria in time for our 360 degree views of the city and being a small operator means we can always go with the wind and adjust our sails to maximise the experience rain or shine! All the best for future travels and we hope you return one day. Meri Kirihimete Merry Christmas (enjoy the mince pies from Arobake and we will be toasting your good health with your generous gift of Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc). Thank you once again we really appreciate your feedback. Kindest regards Helen and Mark
This was an amazing experience, Helen was such a knowledgeable guide, we learned so much from her and it was a plus that she is so connected to her community, so got us into places that tourists don’t go, we felt like we saw everything you could see in Wellington, even some secret behind the scenes places! Probably our best tour to date.
Wow, Thank you so much; reading your kind review has made our day. So happy to know you enjoyed seeing and experiencing the city and coast like a local and you certainly brought the Californian sunshine with you. Wishing you a safe and happy rest of your travels in Aotearoa and a blessed and peaceful 2026. Haere Haumaru Helen
We were on a cruise with a limited time in port. This was a great over view of the charming city of Wellington along with its beautiful coastline. Mark was a great guide and source of information. We would schedule this tour again if we come back to the area.
Thank you for this kind review. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your time with us. - we always do our best to showcase as much as Wellington as possible for visitors with limited time in port. If you're back in Wellington again we'd love to show you the beautiful Kapiti Coast or take you over the hill to explore the Wairarapa. Safe travels Helen and Mark
My husband and I had a wonderful day exploring Wellington with our tour guide, Helen. She was amazing, very kind, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience enjoyable. The ride was comfortable, and we learned so much about the city’s history while visiting beautiful spots. Our lunch at Scorch-O-Rama was one of the highlights we absolutely loved it. Thank you, Helen, for an unforgettable and well-spent day!
Kia ora C and D Thank you so much for your kind feedback. It was lovely to meet you both and show you the capital city. I am so happy to know you both enjoyed the day and the scrumptious lunch and scenery at Scorch o Rama in beautiful Scorching Bay. Wishing you both many more happy travels and exciting new adventures. Best wishes Helen
This was a top notch premiere level tour experience. Helen has extensive knowledge of the history and architecture of the area. Along the route she explained many details of the Maori people, various landmarks, and the meanings behind them. We would rate this a first class tour with first class service and hidden away gems steering you away from cruise ship crowds with perfect timing and excellent connections. I would highly recommend this tour especially if you are looking for a private tour.
Dear S, K and M Thank you so much for taking the time to share this kind review of your Wellington City and Sea tour. I am absolutely delighted to know you enjoyed the day as much as I enjoyed your company. So happy to know you enjoyed experiencing Wellington like a local and that you found a special gift at Real Aotearoa in Lyall Bay. Wishing you all the best for the rest of your cruise and safe journey home. Kia haumaru te Haere Helen
