L'une des meilleures choses à propos de faire une tournée culinaire est d'avoir une idée de l'histoire du pays tout en mangeant quelque chose de délicieux et intéressant. Tous nos Guides sont des experts et diplômés de l'école des guides touristiques d'Islande mais surtout, ils savent comment divertir et éduquer en même temps. Nous nous retrouvons à Ingolfur Square pour commencer notre aventure gastronomique. Veuillez vous rendre sur la place 5 minutes avant le début de votre visite.
Nous commençons par le vieux port de Reykjavik avec un bon apéritif : une soupe de crustacés islandaise. Vous devriez vraiment essayer les fruits de mer islandais en Islande.
Une promenade amusante à travers l'authentique petit marché alimentaire à l'intérieur du marché aux puces de Reykjavik. Nous y découvrons ensemble toutes sortes de plats islandais très traditionnels. N'oubliez pas que le marché aux puces de Reykjavik est ouvert uniquement le samedi et le dimanche de 11 h à 17 h.
Aucune visite gastronomique de Reykjavik n'est complète sans le hot-dog d'agneau islandais. Mais vous devez aller à ce stand de nourriture car c'est l'original de 1937.
Nous nous arrêtons dans un supermarché local et découvrons des aliments, des collations et des bonbons islandais uniques.
Nous terminons notre visite à Icelandic Street Food - un aliment de base local nous servant un grand bol de soupe à la viande. L'Islande dans un bol est ce que nous appelons amoureusement ce plat traditionnel.

Our tour guide was Helga and she was absolutely phenomenal. We had such a great time wandering around Reykjavík and trying all the local foods!

we ended up being the only two on the tour and they still went through with it which was nice. Oli was a great and personable tour guide and shared a ton of information about Iceland with us.

Our guide was fun, engaging and educational. The food was interesting. This tour is a great way to beat the jet lag nap trap after first arriving in Iceland and get an initial intro to Reykjavik.

This was an amazing experience on our first day in Iceland! We were all over the downtown area and learned a lot. Our tour guide was incredible and it was a pleasure to spend 3+ hours with him.

This was such a fun experience to partake in with my family. The stops were amazing with great food and lots of culture. Although I’m allergic to fish and wasn’t able to consume some of the foods, the substitutions were spectacular. If there’s one thing I love to do when I’m on a trip overseas, it’s trying the local food. This tour did not disappoint and I would gladly do it again when I return to Iceland!

Good food tour, just happened to be during cultural day which made it busier at the stops and we had to get around marathon to make it to meeting point. Tried numerous foods with some history

Overall this tour was good. The fellow were friendly fun to be around! Our guide was kind and didn’t rush us around. The downside is that this excursion was scheduled around two citywide events that made navigating horrendous!! Our meeting Basecamp was moved at the last minute which pushed everything back almost an hour! We never made it to the flea market which was going to be the highlight of this excursion. The food was good but the world famous hotdog stand was a complete bust!! Nothing noteworthy about this hotdog! Give me Chicago style hot dog any day of the week!!
