Description

We made a two day visit to Torun. We chose the self guided tour. Was actually free as we had accrued credits from previous tours in other cities. I listened to the pod cast the day before. We didn’t do the tour in order. It was very comprehensive. Was a great way to see the main sites of Torun and get a bit of insight and background information. We broke up the tour over the 2 days.
Our guide Karolina was amazing. Her tour was informative and entertaining. She does an amazing job of communicating facts without elaborating to the point where one loses interest.
Toruń is a magical place, a city founded in the early 13th century by the Teutonic Knights, a member of the Hanseatic League and an important hub of east–west and north–south trade. It is the birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus and the home of the original gingerbread. Remarkably, Toruń was never destroyed, even during the 2nd World War, and has preserved its medieval character and beauty, with streets full of history at every turn. Our guide was excellent: knowledgeable and engaging. We asked to switch to a different language, and it worked out perfectly. Applause to the guide for making the tour so enjoyable!
We had a wonderful experience with this tour! We booked last minute for the next day, they were very accommodating and friendly. Karolina’s business partner, her Dad, led us on our tour as she was already full at the time we requested. He was very personable and fused the history, stories, and humor well! It was a perfect balance of in depth history, walking, and time - it wasn’t too much or too little on any. We plan to come back to Torun with our kids and family and will definitely book this tour with them again!
Anna, thank you so much for your kind word, I'm happy taht you enjoyes the experience! :)

Carolina, paid us a perfect visit, by Torun very enjoyable, I got short 2 hours, both of the history and the significance of the monuments. Very grateful
Muchas gracias :)
The leaning tower was surprising. Toruń is a very beautiful city. Karolina was a great tour guide. Viator is annoying, though, because of there review process.
Thank you even more then for the review :)
We had a bad weather during our walking tour in Torun (July 28,2024) but we were able to enjoy it with Karolina. She is an excellent guide with positive vibes and good sense of humor. She made it pleasant for us amidst the not so pleasant weather. We strongly recommend her if you are planning to visit Torun.
