What an amazing experience! Everything was perfect: excursion , transport , dinner. We had the opportunity to sleep under the stars , it was unforgettable.
It's an hour and a half's drive from Petra. At Wadi Rum Visitor Centre, buy a ticket for 7JD per person and pass the gate. After a five-minute drive, we arrived at Wadi Rum Village. There were a few Bedouins waiting for us at the meeting point, who were very helpful in guiding us through the parking spaces and giving us a lift in their jeep. The full-day tour, which started at 10am, started 30 minutes before. The cushioned chairs and covered bed of the converted jeep are comfortable spaces where you can feel the wind and avoid the strong sunlight. They are efficient, they travel around the sights, they explain things to me, and they give me enough time in those places. After that, the hospitality of making hot tea in the tent-like souvenir shop was great. At photo spots, he always took photos at the perfect point. Iwayama had a hard time climbing up and down because the scaffolding wasn't very good, but after doing my best, he was waiting for me to see if the scenery was great. On the way, we stopped the Jeep and the guide clunked the plastic bag, and camels came one after another, taking a picture with them. On the red sand pile, they let me snowboard and play. The most surprising and moving part was lunch. Just after 1pm, we stopped the Jeep in the shade of a rock and laid out a 4 tatami mat size goza, first orange juice and Jordanian sweets. While we were eating, the Bedouin guides started cooking Jordanian food themselves. I thought they were going to serve ready-made food side by side, but I pulled out the gas table, gas cylinder, cutting board and kitchen knife, cut out the vegetables, stir-fry and simmer! They took the time to cook carefully. Stewed tomato-flavored dishes, cucumber and yogurt salad, hummus and hobbies. The Jordanian food, in the shade of the rocks, with a refreshing breeze and only birdsong, was exquisite! They served hot tea and sweets while we waited for the sunset. This is my life! What a touching thing he said. I was born here, I grew up here, I live here protecting Wadi Rum! I was fascinated by the Bedouin way of life. Only one. There are no toilets in the desert! They say the restrooms are free everywhere, behind rocks and grass yabu. I hesitated at first, but as I got used to it, I felt safe doing it anywhere. :) Anyway, the vast Wadi Rum! I thought it was just a desert, but I had more wonderful scenery and people to meet than I could have imagined.
One of the best experiences in Jordan, Ali is an amazing guide. He really loves the desert and he will bring you to the best spots, and will give you really good recommendations for the best views ... a lot to see and appreciate, Ali is committed with VIP treatment. Highly recommend if you want to make the most of a full day in the stunning Wadi Rum. Make sure to see the sunset in the most spectacular site.

Wadi Rum, a real jewel on Earth. You really feel you are now in another planet far from everything. We had an amazing afternoon thanks to Ali who's been showing us his magic desert and area with clear explanation and details. From camels causing traffic to rose sand dunes, the tour is really a thing to do. I would recommend to book the tour in the morning as the afternoon sun can be very hot. Thank you again Ali!
Fabulous day exploring Wadi Rum with our enthusiastic, knowledgeable guide.....great memories of a wonderful tour
Ali is the perfect guide to discover the Wadi Rum, one of the most beautiful place I have been! Ali made this moment better, speaking with us about the Bedouin life, and showing to us perfect places. The night in a cave, under the full moon, was incredible. I recommande so much!
My first experience in the Wadi Rum desert will remain unforgettable. We spent two days and two nights out of time, in total connection with nature. Ali shared his love of the desert with us with passion, sincerity and authenticity. More than a crush on Wadi Rum, we made a new friend! I can only thank him for these magical moments and these marvelous images in my head.
Expressing the experience on 1-5 scale isn't enough for this tour, it was remarkable and unforgettable. Ali warmly welcomed us in his camp, gave us a complex tour of various Wadi Rum sights and let us have a sneak peak of Beduin life and culture. He's got the full map of the desert in his head and showed us places that will always stay in our minds. He's a great, very open and friendly local guide.
