Neil was an outstanding guide! My mom and I did this excursion on my birthday and absolutely loved that we were the only ones (even though it’s always a small group which makes a big difference)! While it was very hot, we knew what we were getting into when we signed up mid-July! 🤪 still, what an amazing way to see the landscape surrounding and within the Hoover Dam area! Thanks again for everything!
Hi Mallory, Thanks for the great review! We are soooo happy that you had a happy birthday and an amazing adventure. We hope to see you again!
We had an awesome time with our guide, Holmes, biking the tunnel tour to Hoover Dam. He was very informative, organized, and knowledgeable about the area, fauna, and wildlife. You could tell by his attitude and demeanor that he loved showing other people the beauty that he has found in this area of the US. He is a huge advocate of outdoorsman's "Leave no Trace." Motto, if there was any trash on the trail he would stop to pick it up. We even saw a Bighorn sheep on the trail to the dam, it was trying to cross the trail right in front of us. We had a leisurely pace going to the dam. Most of it was downhill, and it was approximately 12 miles. There were a couple of hills, but a beginner to moderate skill level is all you need. Desert Adventures was easy to book and went out of their way to accommodate us. My wife and I were the only ones on the tour. Through talking to Holmes, my wife and I plan on coming back and booking the kayak tour down the Colorado River early next year. There were extra perks that they didn't have to include, but they were appreciated. I highly recommend Desert Adventures for your outdoor adventure.
Hi there and thank you for the amazing review. We are happy that you had amazing time with Holmes, he is one our faves as well. We look forward to taking you on a kayaking tour, you will be blown away by the scenery and the perks we offer on that tour! Talk to you soon (we hope!)
This was an outstanding experience from beginning to end. Turned out I was the only one signed up, so I had a private tour with an amazing guide. The bike ride part was really fun with spectacular views, and the tour of the dam was comprehensive and educational. Lunch was great. My guide Neil even added on a side trip to a park on the way back to view a herd of bighorn sheep. He dropped me off right at my hotel and save me an Uber ride back from the strip. Everything was outstanding. Highly recommended.
Hi there, We are so happy to hear it! We love our slice of heaven in the desert too. We hope that you come back and see us again soon.
Our guide Neil was amazing, full of local knowledge and “Neil facts”. We thoroughly enjoyed his company and the tour was interesting and the perfect length. Lunch at the Hoover Dam was a highlight . The riding was on mountain bikes, a couple of hills were a challenge but the rest is all flat or downhill. Beautiful scenery with photo stops on the way. Bikes could have been in better shape but we’re ok for a short ride.
We're so glad you had a great trip! And thank you for your feedback, we're actively improving our bikes as we speak. We hope you come back for another adventure soon!
Very nice bicycle tour from Boulder city to the Hoover dam. Our great guide Sarrah gave us a lot of interesting information on the area, the dam, the environment. You need to be fit for this tour (not extremely but there are some ups and downs) and we really enjoyed the sportiness of this trip as well. We had enough time also at the dam to do a tour there. So everything was perfect. It was a very hot day but our guide made sure we had enough water and we also got a nice lunch in the end.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We're so glad you had a fun adventure with Sarra! We hope you come back again, maybe try one of our kayak trips?
Great fun. Easy ride - which was a plus given how warm it was. Incredible views all the way down to lake mead from Boulder city.
Thank you for your review! We hope you join us again soon!
We like our doors stuff, so when it came to the bike ride viewing the Hoover we have done this tour before and loved it
Thank you for your repeat business and review! We hope you come back again. Maybe try one of our new hiking tours next time!
Neil was a great host and guide. He was able to give us a lot of historical and geographical information as we cycled along. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with him. The lunch provided was good.
We're so glad you had a great time exploring our historic trails! We hope you come back again soon, maybe try some kayaking with Neil next time!
Fantastic! Fun great way to experience the Hoover dam. Experienced and information guide made the time fly by. We’ll worth the trip
Thank you for your review! We hope you can join us again soon! Maybe try some kayaking or hiking next time!
We travelled in April and decided to schedule the mountain bike tour to the Hoover Dam. Neil, our tour guide was amazing. We also had the privilege of having Gabe, who was in training to be a mountain bike guide. Both gentlemen were knowledgeable of the history of the area and geological terrain. My 17 year old son, who is a History enthusiast, found the guides informative. Totally recommend this tour.
Hi Joseph, Thank you for the review. We love the history of our area too! We are glad you had a good trip. Please visit us again for a kayak trip and a lot more history!
