Prêt pour une visite gastronomique en petit groupe à Tokyo qui vous emmènera plus loin que ce que les régions de Shinjuku ou Shibuya peuvent vous fournir? Venez avec nous et laissez le touriste en boîte et préfabriqué derrière vous, et découvrez plutôt comment les habitants se détendent après le travail. Au cours de nos 3 - ish heures ensemble, nous allons visiter trois différents restaurants de bar debout (connu sous le nom de "tachinomi" en Japonais). Nous avons réparti nos visites de tachinomi dans deux quartiers différents, avec un trajet en train de 6 minutes entre les deux. Aux tachinomi s'ajoute un tachinomi légèrement plus anthropologique, couvrant une multitude de curiosités et de sujets culturels, de la vie nocturne au shopping et plus encore. Avec de la nourriture, trois verres et un billet de train inclus, vous n'aurez pas besoin de dépenser un seul yen brillant cette nuit insouciante. Une note sur notre itinéraire Bien que nous fassions toujours de notre mieux pour respecter le plan tel qu'énoncé ci-dessus, veuillez comprendre que les itinéraires de visite, les arrêts au restaurant (le cas échéant) et les horaires peuvent varier en fonction de circonstances indépendantes de notre volonté.

Itinéraire
Oimachi est à seulement deux minutes de la ligne Yamanote (boucle) de Shinagawa. En quelques instants, nous nous frayons un chemin dans les ruelles étroites et animées qui donnent à ce quartier le genre de caractère que vous ne trouvez tout simplement pas dans les grands quartiers de divertissement de Tokyo. Nous ne tarderons pas à entrer dans notre premier tachinomi ("bar debout") pour une bière fraîche et de délicieux plats de pub de style japonais. Si la bière n'est pas votre truc, il existe d'autres options. Aussi disponible, au cas où vous vous méfieriez un peu de certains des plats japonais les plus «avancés», des options plus classiques pour le palais occidental. Faim apaisée pour le moment, nous nous lançons dans une promenade pédagogique, expliquant (avec des aides visuelles à profusion) les aléas de la vie nocturne japonaise. C'est une promenade légère et on s'amuse avec elle; vous n'avez pas à vous soucier du fait qu'elle soit bruyante ou décolorée, et cette visite convient également aux adolescents, si vous les avez en remorque. Ensuite, nous en mangeons encore.
Deux restaurants et deux verres, il est temps de dire au revoir à Oimachi. N'ayez crainte, car nous ne sommes qu'à six minutes de route de notre prochain arrêt, Kamata. Nous avons un tout nouvel ensemble de sites pour vous ici, et nos guides vont là où la plupart des guides japonais ont peur de vous emmener (ils ont probablement juste peur que vous vous ennuyiez, mais nous sommes convaincus que vous ne le ferez pas). Kamata a une grande architecture de l'époque des bulles (des années 1980 au début des années 1990) avec une poignée d'épicéas assez récents et un vieux skool shotengai ("rue commerçante"). Il y a aussi de la bonne bouffe, et nous avons un endroit avec une ambiance décontractée et une clientèle amicale tous alignés. C'est l'une de ces parties en danger de Tokyo qui est un village animé avec une identité distincte. Alors que d'autres parties succombent aux chaînes de magasins et à l'homogénéisation, Kamata est forte, sinon aussi classiquement.

The place is of incredible beauty; facilities from the hall through the common areas, restaurants, beaches, to the cozy rooms. It is an ideal place for families, young couples, and those of us who are not so much. Cassandra, manager in charge during our stay, has an infectious energy and is a great professional, who animates and organizes a place that we imagine is complex to manage. Her assistant Luisa assists and supports her. At night the shows are real stagings of unimaginable quality: dances, music, circus actors, games of lights that have nothing to envy to other high places. We cannot fail to name Yurbel, choreographer and dancer full of magic and contagious joy who was in charge of dances, every night. Luis Jose and Kimberly, together with Yurbel, proudly leave the Venezuelan gentile aloft, and made us feel like a dream. Yeman was our guide for this pleasant evening of colourful dining in obscure little, standing room only, restaurants with good food, interesting clientel, sweet and dry Sake and fascinating history. Ask about the “love hotels” which were news to us! Highly recommended.

Andrew was fantastic and gave us an insight into the Japanese culture. He took us to small restaurants that were yummy and plenty of traditional bars. He even showed us how to purchase a train ticket home! I highly recommend this tour!

If you get the chance, ask for Mini as your guide. She was great! Very friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the culture. We went to some off the beaten path spots and tried some very good food that I would have normally never tried. She even took time to help me set up a Suica card to my phone (no easy task as there were a lot of hoops to go through) and took me to a store afterwards to get flavored Kit Kats for souvenirs. Highly recommend!
