When our ship was docked in Piraeus, we booked an excursion using Athens Taxi Wagon and we enjoyed it from start to finish. The booking process was fast and simple. Alexis picked us on time and we first visited Acropolis before it got crowded. Also, a licensed guide was arranged for us. During our visit to Greece in September and October 2025, we had several days at the start and at the end of our trip. So, we decided to see as much as possible and we did a quick research. We then used Athens Taxi Wagon, and it turned out to be a correct decision. On the first day we went on a city tour opting for a licensed guide. The entire day was wonderful. The guide shared interesting facts about history and culture. We had smooth access to the main attractions. Our driver, Alexis, mentioned that while he also knows the history well, Greek regulations do not allow drivers to guide inside sites. We appreciated the clarity. After that first day, Alexis continued with us for the rest of our travels, and very quickly he became much more than just a driver. He truly felt like a friend. He took us to Meteora, which is absolutely unforgettable, and along the way he stopped at special places we never would have found on our own. We saw beautiful countryside, charming towns, and viewpoints that made the journey just as memorable as the destinations. Without Athens Taxi Wagon, we would never have experienced Greece in this way or met someone like Alexis who added so much warmth, insight, and care to our trip. They also arranged our final transfer back to Athens, which was seamless and stress free. We genuinely recommend Athens Taxi Wagon not only for city tours, but also for longer trips throughout Greece. It was far better than renting a car, and the personal touch made all the difference.

We had a fantastic day with Spiros! He was kind, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable, which truly enhanced our time in Athens. From the moment he picked us up at the Port of Piraeus, we felt completely at ease. Our tour began with a visit to the iconic Acropolis, where Spiros shared fascinating insights into its ancient history, including stories about the Parthenon and the origins of democracy. After exploring the site, he took us to a wonderful local restaurant he recommended — the food was absolutely delicious and felt authentically Greek. In the afternoon, we toured more of the city's highlights, including the historic Panathenaic Stadium — the only stadium in the world built entirely of marble and home to the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. We also witnessed the ceremonial Changing of the Guards at the Hellenic Parliament, a tradition steeped in history and national pride. The taxi driver was so sweet and curtious. He made sure we were comfortable and took great care that we saw all the highlights of the city. To top it off, he took us to a fabulous restaurant for lunch and ordered us our meal since we didn't speak Greek. We couldn't have seen all the highlights of the city without his guidance. Athens Taxi Wagon was great. Responded to my What’s App inquiry and further messages promptly. Spiro was our driver for the day. He picked us at the cruise terminal and took us to all the major highlights of Athens city, found us a great place on the beach for lunch, down to the Poseidin Temple then to the airport. On our first family trip to Greece I was worried about navigating the city with a small child. Alexi, and his team made it super easy, and comfortable for us. He took us to all the popular sites and gave us tips on how to navigate around the thousands of tourist trying to visit the same places. He took great care of us, and even catered to our 6 year old. We didn't have the greatest cruise experience (not part of his service) but his day tour of Athens made up for it. We will definitely use his services again on our next trip to Greece.
