L'un des monuments les plus emblématiques, la cathédrale Saint-André retrace l'histoire de la ville du Moyen Âge à nos jours
Parcourez à vélo l'une des plus belles rues de la ville. La Grosse Cloche était la porte principale de la ville au Moyen Âge.
Le Pont de Pierre est le premier pont en pierre construit à Bordeaux. Il représente le XIXe siècle.
Un sentier paisible en bord de Garonne, sur la rive droite. Ce tronçon offre une vue imprenable sur le paysage historique de Bordeaux, avec notamment la place de la Bourse et la Grosse Cloche au loin. C'est un espace calme et arboré, idéal pour profiter du contraste entre l'animation de la ville et la douceur des berges, avant de rejoindre la campagne et les vignobles.
Un mélange d’urbanité et de modernité avant de plonger dans la nature. Ce vaisseau contemporain marque la frontière entre la ville et l’évasion à vélo.
Petit village discret aux portes de l’Entre-deux-Mers, Bouillac vous plonge dans la tranquillité de la campagne girondine. Ici, les vignobles commencent à dessiner le paysage, entre haies bocagères et maisons en pierre blonde.
Niché aux portes de l'Entre-Deux-Mers, ce charmant village marque la transition entre la ville et la campagne. Vous emprunterez des sentiers paisibles et d'anciennes voies ferrées, au cœur de la nature et des vignobles. Vous pédalez sur la mythique piste cyclable Roger Lapébie, elle serpente à travers bois et villages, offrant un cadre paisible et sécurisé au cœur de la nature. On pédale en toute liberté, bercé par le chant des oiseaux et le murmure des feuilles.
Connu pour son passé potier, Sadirac est un village aux racines artisanales. Son patrimoine rural et ses paysages vallonnés donnent un avant-goût du terroir qui vous attend plus loin. Ici, nous profiterons d'un moment gourmand en dégustant un pique-nique à la française avec vin et avec des produits locaux.
Ancienne bastide anglaise, Créon est aujourd’hui une halte conviviale au cœur de l’Entre-deux-Mers. On y croise cyclistes, producteurs locaux et habitants sous les arcades de la place centrale. Une ambiance authentique et chaleureuse.
Ce paisible village abrite une histoire millénaire. Blotti entre vignes et forêts, il vous guide doucement vers un trésor caché du patrimoine girondin. Dès là, vous apercevez les ruines majestueuses de l'Abbaye de La Sauve-Majeure, cette abbaye bénédictine domine le paysage. Fondée au XIe siècle, elle évoque la puissance spirituelle du Moyen Âge. Un lieu empreint de silence, d’histoire, et de beauté mystique. Une pause contemplative sur votre route.
Les vignes se densifient, les reliefs s’accentuent : vous entrez dans le monde du vin. Daignac offre de magnifiques points de vue sur les coteaux viticoles et des chemins bordés de murets en pierre sèche.
Au cœur du vignoble, Grézillac est une invitation à ralentir. Entre domaines viticoles familiaux et vues imprenables sur les vallées, le décor est idéal pour un pique-nique champêtre à l’ombre des chênes ou dans une clairière.
Vous atteignez la rivière La Dordogne ! Branne est un bourg vivant installé au bord de la rivière. On y ressent l’influence de la vallée viticole, entre petits commerces, cafés, et marchés colorés. Ici vous traverserez Le Pont de Branne, pont métallique surplombe la Dordogne et offre une vue saisissante sur les deux rives. En le traversant, vous passez symboliquement de l’Entre-deux-Mers aux portes du prestigieux Saint-Émilionnais.

We had the best day cycling with Edwin from Bordeaux to St Emillion. Edwin was so knowledgeable about the city, region and it's wine and food. He took us on an absolutely beautiful route and he made us a carefully considered, beautiful lunch en route. Edwin kindly took lots of photos and videos along the way so we didn't have to worry about missing a moment of the experience. When we arrived at the vineyard Edwin went above and beyond to translate the tour for us as unfortunately on the day we visited there was not an English speaking tour running. The train ride back to Bordeaux rounded off the perfect day. I can't recommend this trip highly enough. It absolutely made our holiday and we'll never forget it.

This was a great day. Picked the e-Bike up in Bordeaux and was surprised that it was heavier than I expected. But that made no difference, as when you're riding, it's so smooth and feels as light as a feather. We started out cycling around the streets of Bordeaux, with our fabulous guide Edwin showing us several iconic sites. Traffic, pedestrians, and other cyclists made for a busy first hour, but take it slow; motorists, other cyclists and pedestrians are very tolerant and polite, catering for any clumsiness you (well, me) may have initially. I hadn't ridden a bike in years, but all good...you'll be fine! We soon left the traffic and entered a wonderfully serene bikeway. Several kms along the way, a lunch stop, where Edwin magically produced a delicious, rustic picnic, with, of course, a fine bottle of wine (red and white). Continued on another serene bikeway and got to St Emilion, where we toured and tasted some beautiful wines. St Emilion is amazing - full of history, and of course, wine! You'll get the train back to Bordeaux, Edwin will show you where the station is; a short 10 minute walk. A great day with Edwin, who is so accommodating and friendly. I definitely recommend Edwin and Gravel Explore for this day tour.

Such an incredible experience travelling through the French countryside. It’s not about the end but about the journey. Lunch was delicious, and the wine tasting was memorable. Landscapes, conviviality, culture and terroir, everything was there. Edwin was able to share his passion for gravel with us, a good discovery of this activity, accessible to all. A very nice walk in the vineyards with tasting at the castle. The return by train from Saint Emilion was very convenient
