The tour with Anton was fantastic, not only did we visit the must see sites in Tiraspol and Bender, but we also learned a lot about the history of Pridnestrovie and its people. If you are in the area, I highly recommend taking a tour with Anton.
We went with Anton who lives there. You need a guide that lives there or you are missing out! And I don't think you can do better than him. Go Local! I am thinking about coming back and I think about this tour all the time.
Anton is a wonderful and knowledgeable guide! He was very communicative and reached out as soon as I reserved my booking over a month in advance. He made sure to tailor the tour to my interests and showed me parts of Prindestrovie that are very off the beaten path. He is quite flexible with itineraries, answers questions very well, and also asks very good questions himself. I strongly recommend reaching out to Anton if you find yourself in this part of the world. Thank you Anton for everything!!!
A great way to explore Pridnestrovie with a local guide. We visited Tiraspol, Bender and stopped by some places on the way. Anton is an intelligent guide and also a talented artist. It was really insightful to talk to him about his perspective and everyday life in a "country that doesn't exist". He made the tour truly special and thought-provoking. Highly recommended if you are looking for a unique and authentic experience, rather than just a typical guided tour.
Too easy to say only that the experience has been incredible. Trustable in terms of planning and security, but the best part are the feelings. Nobody more than a local can bring you into Pridnestrovie, the real one. A place made by true and beautiful people. So if you are interested in visiting and feel this county this tour is what you are looking to. Grazie! Pietro e Stefano
I came all the way from Japan to visit a “country that doesn’t exist.” I had always been fascinated by Pridnestrovie, its unique history, and the traces of the Soviet era that still remain today. But spending the day with Anton showed me much more than I expected. This did not feel like a conventional guided tour. It felt more like exploring with a local friend who knows where to look and what to notice. We saw famous places, but also discovered small details and places I would never have found on my own. What I especially enjoyed was seeing history through real places, objects and everyday life. It gave me a perspective that I could never have gained just by reading about Pridnestrovie from Japan. Anton calls it a “tour without a tour.” Now I understand exactly what he means. I could tell you more, but some things are better left as a surprise. 🤫 Come with curiosity and discover it for yourself.
The experience and the entire day spent with Anton was hands down one of the best and most authentic guided tours I have ever experienced. As a true world traveler, I have taken countless tours across the globe and seen it all—the good, the bad, and everything in between. But what Anton offers is a truly unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience that you will likely never find anywhere else on this planet.I admit I was skeptical at first because of all the overwhelmingly positive reviews. But now, I deeply understand why they exist. Above all, Anton showed me just how incredibly valuable my own life is. When you compare your own reality to life in Transnistria (or Pridnestrovie, as it is called now)—a country unrecognized by the rest of the world—you realize that you are actually the richest person on Earth. This personal connection with Anton became one of the most defining moments of my life.We were on the road for about 12 hours in total, spending a solid 8 to 9 hours with Anton and his friend Dima. I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for everything, and I truly hope many more people get the chance to book this journey with Anton. You will definitely not regret it, I guarantee you that.If you are looking for a standard, textbook tour guide, Anton is the wrong person for you. You need to be an open-minded person. You have to be worldly and, above all, able to speak from the heart and truly connect with Anton. Only then will you experience the real essence of this place. Only then will Anton take you on a journey where you truly get to know a country from all its facets within a single day.I intentionally do not want to mention the specific details or highlights of what we did. I want you to have your own raw, authentic experience. What we witnessed and felt there was entirely unique. I hope you all get to experience the same profound connection. To Anton, Dima, and their entire family and friends, I wish you all the very best on this planet. May God protect you on your path.
Although I was a little nervous on my first visit to the Transnistrian Republic, the guide, Anton, told me about the history, the current situation of the Transnistrian Republic, and people's lives, which was very educational. It was the best tour where I could feel not only the Soviet atmosphere but also the beautiful nature and the lives of the people.
If you want to visit Pridnestrovie (Transnistria), Anton is the perfect person to go with. There are two main ways to experience Pridnestrovie: you can take a guide from Chișinău, Moldova, who will explain the history and facts to you, or you can go with a local who actually lives in Pridnestrovie. With Anton, you get the chance to learn what it is really like to live in an unrecognized country and hear about the challenges and everyday realities from someone who knows the place firsthand. Of course, you will still learn about the history, but from a different perspective. And if you want the other perspective, you can always find plenty of information about it online anyway. For me, Anton is much more than just a guide, he is an experience. He asks questions and encourages you to think about things for yourself rather than simply giving you a standard explanation. I really appreciated that approach. He also showed me places that were a little off the usual tourist route, which gave me an even better sense of what the place is really like. I honestly have nothing to complain about. Anton also helped arrange my transfers from Chișinău all the way to Tiraspol. I stayed overnight, and the following day he arranged the transfer back for me as well, which made everything very easy. I really appreciated the experience and would definitely recommend checking out Pridnestrovie with Anton if you want to see and understand the place from a local perspective.
Anton did his absolute best to showcase all aspects of Tiraspol. His very cerebral and deep psychological approach is what separates Anton from your typical bla bla bla tourist guide. A sharp thinker, quick with creative replies, and first and foremost a genuinely rare and intelligent person who is able to keep your attention, constantly find new places and stories to tell, and connect them to the people he is guiding. He is a real people person who tries — and succeeds — to understand what makes people relate to a place, its history, and its stories.
