It was more like 9 hours. No AC on the way there. We only rode the camels for about 20 minutes. We also had to pay extra once we got there to go out to see the sunrise and the nomad village and sand boarding. The description says it’s included. We had to pay for water. No water provided at all and it was 106 degrees. It was a cool experience. We just didn’t feel like it was at all what we paid for. Wouldn’t do it again with this company. In hindsight I would drive myself out there and hire a private guide.
Pedro was a great tour operator for the Sahara adventure. He was nice and met all accommodations. Would recommend this tour.
FES a city of Morocco..historic city ..fresh food always..first old university..free narrow bazaar..french or Arabic language..people very friendly..down to earth..carpet roads..taxi very cheap on meter..no bargain..new airport..old city..new expanding city..history repeats itself

I have used viator for many years and booked this tour and was extremely disappointing and the supplier was rude and unhelpful. I had to wake up at 3.15am to chase the supplier (as they would not return messages) as I had booked for 3 of us on one booking and my friend from Canada on another booking. The supplier rang our hotel and said the trip is only from Fes and not Marrakesh, but advert says it is Marrakesh and we were staying there. I informed them of my hotel details before I left the UK and on the phone they refused to give a refund. This left us in a very awful position as we had no hotel booked as for that night, it was in peak season and the desert tour was overnight. They took our money staightaway and never let us pay nearer the time. I reported this supplier to viator and they should be removed off the list. Our hotel manager even spoke to the supplier in Arabic. I didn't get any sleep as I had to deal with this for 90 mins in the early morning. DO NOT use this supplier at all - he will say he only goes from Fes but it clearly says both names on the advert. Viator yesterday agreed to give the refund. It has been an awful experience and unacceptable!
Transport from Fez to Mergouza did not pick us up. We have had to come on our own paying €600 in addition to the 360 we pay for the experience.id carefully. Very little formality.
A very long trip in an uncomfortable bus... lunch mediocre place... arrived on the spot the boss lying on the table barefoot and on the phone for an hour ignoring his customers.... Lucky we came for the scenery!
I really enjoyed the desert scenery and camel riding. It was a lifetime memory. However, the contents are often misstated. 1. Camel rides are only available in the evening, not in the morning sun. We asked the staff and they told us that we couldn’t ride in the morning because we didn’t have time to leave. Even if you have time, there are no camels or staff near the hotel, so you can't ride camels in the morning. 2. The meeting will be at the hotel pick-up and the final conf, but in fact we will meet at a different place and at different times. If we hadn't inquired the day before, we would have been unable to join the tour. 3. The maximum number of participants is 30 or so, not 9. 4. There was no sandboard. 5. You don't have to bother signing up for this expensive tour because you can mix with other low-cost tour people.
Unfortunately, the itinerary does not tell you how long it takes to get there. Please note this is a 10-11 hour journey each way and you "change hands" with drivers quite a few times. Be prepared to stand on the side of roads/deserts waiting for the next van/ute to pick you up. The tour states there is a camel ride at sunrise and sandboarding but this was not offered and other reviews that I have now read also state the same thing so this needs to be removed as it is very misleading. The camp itself was great and the food was good.
simply amazing, first class attention, from the route, route, explanation, camel ride, delicious food, dream place, all perfect
