Volterra et San Gimignano : un avant-goût de la Toscane médiévale !

Salut ! Environ 90% des touristes se dirigent généralement directement vers Pise et Florence – et oui, ils sont incroyables – mais cette visite offre quelque chose d’un peu différent. C'est un peu plus hors des sentiers battus (surtout Volterra), et c'est un vrai régal d'explorer le cœur de la Toscane à travers ces deux charmants villages. Essayez cette expérience : vous ne le regretterez pas ! Vous voyagerez à bord d'une camionnette Mercedes confortable, avec un chauffeur/Guide qui vous expliquera ce que vous voyez tout au long de la journée. L'heure de départ standard est de 8h à 30h, mais elle peut être adaptée à votre horaire.

L'Amphythéâtre romain est une attraction, un morceau d'histoire romaine où encore aujourd'hui le gouvernement local organise des concerts de musique et des spectacles, surtout en été. Nous aurons une vue rapide depuis le point panoramique idéal pour prendre une photo.
Une visite dans la plus ancienne entreprise de production d'albâtre, ils ont aussi un laboratoire où ils font une démonstration gratuite de savoir-faire.
La place principale de Volterra où se trouve le palais du prieuré et la tour encadrée dans le film Twilight. Dans le côté opposé, vous avez la cathédrale. De là, vous pouvez commencer votre visite dans la partie historique du village.
Appelé à tort par les étrangers Toscane (en italien Toscana) nous traversons la campagne du Chianti (c'est le vrai nom ! La Toscane n'est pas seulement cette partie mais toute la région) terre de vin, d'huile d'olive et de bonne cuisine... et, si vous le souhaitez, nous pouvons organiser un déjeuner avec dégustation de vin , ou une dégustation de vin sans déjeuner. La nourriture et les boissons ne sont pas incluses dans le prix des visites.
Célèbre village médiéval plein de tours avec une belle ambiance. N'oubliez pas d'essayer le meilleur gelato sur la place principale !

Giuliano was wonderful!!! We had the best day! He picked us up right at the ship and planned an amazing day to Volterra and then to San Gimignano. He took us to one of his favorite restaurants and then to a beautiful vineyard that has been run by the same family since the 1600’s. Definitely a must if you don’t want to ride with 100 people on a bus!

My husband and I visited Italy for our honeymoon and this was probably our favorite activity we did! We stayed in Pisa and were picked up by the most amazing driver/guide, Giuliano! He introduced me to my first pistachio croissant and I was fully addicted the rest of our trip. I loved learning about what it's liked to live there and other fun facts you probably wouldn't learn on a typical walking tour. He is also an amazing singer :) Volterra and San Gimagnano were both beautiful towns and not crowded at all compared to the larger cities, which was a nice change of pace. They are also smaller enough where you don't feel rushed visiting both in one day. Also, if you have the opportunity to get lunch at a vineyard between the two towns, you HAVE to! The views were incredible and so was the wine. If we're ever back in Italy, we'll definitely book an activity with through this company and hopefully with Giuliano again!

Beautiful day in the countryside of Tuscany. Our driver Guliano was prompt, driving a clean comfortable van. He provided us with lots of information, and was kind, funny, and considerate throughout. We enjoyed va detour to see opera singer Andre Bocelli's hometown and summer concert venue. Definitely agree to pay extra for the wine tasting and lunch. Truly special!

The driver was super polite and careful ! He told us all the local legends and stories about the regions we visited. In addition, the driver mentioned to us which places are good for visiting/eating. In some places we even got discounts because people knew him. I would highly recommend this trip !

We came to Livorno on an NCL cruise. My husband booked for the 5 of us to take a tour and it was fabulous!! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Make My Day. Our guide was very kind, and made our trip so enjoyable. He kept us entertained and well informed about the various areas we visited. We went to beautiful Volterra, and then had a wonderful lunch at the most charming winery, we then finished our day in San Gimignano. Perfect tour. Book it, you won't regret it!! Thank you Giuliano!!

We arrived Livorno by cruise ship and Giuliano was waiting for us nice and early at the port. It was super easy to find him and we didn't have any problem communicating with him prior to the trip. The car was comfortable, very clean and Giuliano kept us entertain throughout the journey to Siena by giving us info and interesting things about the Tuscany area. Once we finished visiting Siena we were taken to a nice winery for waste tasting and lunch, which my family enjoyed very much! We then visited San Gimignano in the afternoon and it was such a beautiful place. Giuliano got us back to the port in good time and we found the whole experience very pleasant. I would highly recommend booking shore excursion with Make My Day In Italy as it was such good value and you won't be disappointed.
