Description
Le volcan Arenal est l'un des plus beaux volcans du monde avec la forme parfaite d'un cône. Nous randonnons et au plus près nous pouvons nous approcher légalement du volcan où nous marchons sur la dernière éruption et prenons des photos du paysage. Après la promenade dans le champ de lave, nous allons entrer dans la forêt pour essayer de trouver la faune de la région comme les singes, les paresseux, les tucanes, les serpents, les grenouilles, les fourmiliers, les cochons sauvages et bien plus encore. Vos guides nés et ayant grandi ici connaissent suffisamment bien la région pour expliquer et répondre à vos questions et vous en apprendrez également beaucoup sur l'histoire du volcan et de ses environs. Emmanuel was fantastic. 12/10!!! He was kind, engaging, and knowledgeable about the local habitat and Costa Rican culture. Highly recommend.
Emmanuel was excellent and very knowledgeable. The tour was great experience . His was so patient, helpful very passionate on his tours..thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you. Also went to the natural hot springs a must visit.
We had an amazing time with Emmanuel! He took us to hike the volcano and showed us the hot springs after! It was a cloudy day, but cleared up as soon as we got to the volcano!
After this tour we felt like we could be tour guides! We learned so much! We enjoyed every part of this. Emmanuel also took time to find us animals and birds in the trees to see, we loved it. Truly a great experience with a very knowledgeable guide, don’t pass this one up! He also is an amazing photographer and took the best pictures of us throughout the whole tour. It was great and the pineapple at the end topped it all off, so refreshing. Thank you so much, Emmanuel!

Our guide was super knowledgeable and passionate about the beautiful nature around Costa Rica, and taught us a lot! Was also very talented at pointing out various types of birds, snakes, and monkeys along the way. He was fun to talk to, and made the hike very memorable. Would definitely do this guided trail again next time we are in CR 🤙

The 1968 Guided Hike was one of the highlights of our time in Arenal. Our guide brought the landscape to life by explaining the history of the 1968 volcanic eruption, pointing out wildlife, and sharing insights about the rainforest ecosystem. The trail offered stunning views of Arenal Volcano, lava fields, and Lake Arenal, making for a memorable and educational experience.

We booked a tour of arenal volcano through Get Your Guide and were lucky to be matched up with Emmanuel. He was very knowledgeable and patient. We are a family of 6 with kids ranging in age from 4-22. He was great with both the little and big kids. All of us thoroughly enjoyed the knowledge and history that he shared about La Fortuna and the volcano. We liked the experience so much that we booked the private sloth tour the next day and it was an even better experience! I cannot recommend it highly enough. Do not hesitate to book with Emmanuel- you will have a wonderful time and cherish the memories!

This hike and the entire experience guided by Emmanuel was nothing short of breathtaking. Emmanuel is very knowledgeable about the history of Costa Rica, the volcanos and the beautiful culture and people of Costa Rica. If you are taking an excursion not guided by Emmanuel you are taking the wrong one. This is 100/10.
Not all tours are the same: some you follow, others you actually experience. This one definitely belongs to the second category. Emmanuel has a very sharp eye for wildlife and an attentive, intuitive way of guiding. What I particularly appreciated was the balance: very informative, yet relaxed. If you’re looking for something beyond just “seeing animals” - something a bit more immersive - Emmanuel is a very good choice. Overall, a genuinely great experience.
This was one of the best hikes we’ve ever done, and that was largely because of Emmanuel! He is an incredible guide. He has so much knowledge and passion for Costa Rica, its nature, and animals, and we learnt so much from him. He went out of his way to find us monkeys, toucans, sloths, and all kinds of birds on our hike. We would not have been able to find them without him. He is also incredibly kind and funny, and we had a great time with him. We even got lunch together after! Highly recommend to anyone thinking of doing any hike or nature activities in CR!
