The guide was friendly, and the tour was relaxed and informative. I’d recommend it.
Went out for dinner and a food crawl at night with Ngoc Ha and had such a great time!! We were out for ~4 hours before we had to leave, but she was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and I learned so much from her and about her. Highly recommend booking with Saigon Hotpot and with her especially!! Absolutely would book again the next time I’m in Saigon.
I visited Ho Chi Minh City on my own, and joining this tour was one of the best decisions I made. Before I even arrived, Jennifer reached out to ask about my interests and travel preferences. Based on our conversation, she planned a thoughtful itinerary that perfectly matched what I was looking for. It saved me a lot of time researching and made the whole experience completely stress-free. The tour was a great balance between famous landmarks, such as the Independence Palace, and hidden local food spots that I would never have found by myself. It felt much more authentic than a typical sightseeing tour. Since Jennifer and I are around the same age, our conversations were just as memorable as the places we visited. We talked about thisuniversity life, work, social trends, and cultural differences between Vietnam and my country. Those conversations gave me a much deeper understanding of Vietnam beyond what any guidebook could offer. By the end of the tour, I felt like I had made a new friend rather than simply hired a guide. When Jennifer learned that I would continue traveling to other cities in Vietnam, she happily shared her own personal recommendations and experiences, which were incredibly helpful for the rest of my trip. If you are looking for more than just sightseeing and want to experience the real local culture with a knowledgeable, friendly, and thoughtful guide, I highly recommend this tour. Thank you, Jennifer, for making my first visit to Ho Chi Minh City so memorable!
We had a wonderful experience with Saigon Hotpot. Phuong An was a warm, knowledgeable, and engaging local companion who made the city walk feel personal rather than scripted. We especially appreciated the clear and thoughtful introduction to Ho Chi Minh City's history. It gave real context to the places we visited and made us see the city in a much richer way. The city walk was well paced, full of interesting details, and a great opportunity to learn about local life, culture, and perspectives. Thank you to Phuong An and the Saigon Hotpot volunteer team for your time, generosity, and passion. We left with lovely memories of Saigon and would gladly recommend this experience to other visitors.
I had a great time exploring Saigon with Anh. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared interesting stories while answering all of my questions. I enjoyed every stop, especially trying the local food and desserts. The tour was well organized, and Anh made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommend!
Our guide, Nguyen, was so lovely and knowledgeable. She excitedly showed us the best egg coffee in town (so good!). Gave us great tips for crossing the roads, and had expertise throughout our visit to the independence palace. Also showed us a very cute cat themed souvenir store. Nguyen answered all of our questions, and was so kind. Loved meeting her, and our experience. Highly recommended these tours with Saigon Hotpot.
Thank you so much for your lovely review! 💛 We're so happy to hear that you had such a wonderful experience with us. Nguyen will be so happy to read your kind words, they'll definitely make her day! This was one of the highlights of my trip to Ho Chi Minh City. Nhi was an amazing guide—friendly, passionate and easy to talk to. We tried several local dishes that I probably wouldn’t have found on my own, and everything was delicious. I also learned a lot about Vietnamese culture and everyday life while walking around the market. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun, and I really appreciated how welcoming everyone was. If you’re looking for an authentic food tour with local students, don’t hesitate to book with Saigon Hotpot!
Thank you for taking the time to share such a lovely review! 💛 It means so much to know that your experience left such a special impression on your trip. Nhi will be absolutely delighted to hear your thoughtful words and know that she could be a part of those wonderful memories. Thank you for supporting Saigon Hotpot and our student volunteers. If you are traveling to Vietnam and want an authentic, off-the-beaten-path experience, you must book with @Saigon Hotpot. My time with them was a 120-out-of-100 experience that completely transcended a normal city tour. My guide, Nguyen Hoang Gia Phuc (Sam), was a brilliant 20-something young man who didn't just show me the sights. He also shared his soul and perspective on life. We ended up having deep, great conversations about existence and mortality, answering questions I ponder every single day. He also tailored the day beautifully, taking me to an amazing vintage shop I’d found on social media. My wrist is now wearing a tiny piece of memory, a vintage watch still ticking away on Saigon time. Thank you for showing me the beautiful, unfiltered heart of your city. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for an unforgettable, deeply moving day. If anyone ever visit Vietnam, please do yourself a favor and experience this magic. :)
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for such a beautiful review. 💛 Reading your words truly made us smile. We're so grateful that your experience with Sam became something far beyond a city tour, and we're sure he'll be deeply touched to know how much your time together meant to you. Thank you for trusting Saigon Hotpot and allowing us to share a little piece of our city with you. We sincerely hope that tiny watch keeps bringing back wonderful memories of Vietnam, and that one day we'll have the joy of welcoming you back again. Until then, wishing you safe travels and many more meaningful adventures ahead. See you again somedayyy! 🥰
We spent half a day visiting the Independence Palace, the Central Post Office and book street. The tour was incredibly well-organized and enjoyable.
Thank you so much for your kind words <3
