Description
Plutôt que de prendre un bon repas, nous préférons vous emmener dans une aventure culinaire locale dans les ruelles d'Istanbul ! Nous commencerons à Karakoy avec une dégustation de plats locaux et parlerons du quartier, puis nous prendrons un ferry pour la partie asiatique d'Istanbul, Kadikoy et prendrons des plats et des boissons avec les habitants. Au cours de notre visite, nous dégusterons au moins 10 plats locaux et quelques boissons locales.

Karakoy est un quartier animé qui était autrefois le cœur industriel de la ville. En vous promenant dans les rues étroites, vous pouvez encore voir des vestiges de son passé industriel sous la forme d'anciens entrepôts et usines. Mais aujourd'hui, Karakoy abrite également des cafés, des boutiques et des restaurants branchés, ce qui en fait l'endroit idéal pour commencer notre visite gastronomique.
Le trajet depuis la partie européenne d'Istanbul jusqu'à Kadikoy prend environ 20 minutes en ferry, mais vous aurez l'impression d'entrer dans un monde différent. Alors que vous quittez les sites emblématiques de la péninsule historique, tels que la Mosquée Bleue et Sainte-Sophie, et que vous naviguez sur les eaux scintillantes du Bosphore, vous êtes accueilli par la vue des minarets et des gratte-ciel modernes s'élevant des collines de Kadikoy. Le trajet en ferry est inclus dans le prix du voyage.
Le côté asiatique du marché alimentaire est un endroit animé et dynamique, rempli d'un large éventail de saveurs et de plats qui séduiront à coup sûr les papilles gustatives des gourmets les plus exigeants. Des stands de street food savoureux aux restaurants haut de gamme, il y en a pour tous les goûts dans ce paysage culinaire diversifié et éclectique. Nous goûterons à de nombreux goûts locaux
Après avoir terminé notre visite gastronomique avec un désert local, notre guide vous ramènera au ferry qui vous ramènera au point de départ de la visite. La visite a été un véritable délice culinaire, nous permettant de déguster certains des plats les plus délicieux et les plus authentiques que la région ait à offrir. Des brochettes salées aux pâtisseries sucrées, nous avons vécu un véritable régal pour les sens.

This tour is an absolute must if you are new to Turkish food, as we were. Doing it early in our trip gave us the opportunity to make good choices in food for the rest of our stay. Ozge, our guide, introduced us to many new and delicious foods in Kerikoy and Kadakoy, located respectively on the European and Asia sides of Istanbul. We would never have experienced such a variety of local specialties on our own. The culinary aspect of our trip was so much better because we took this tour with Ozge.
Cumali was an amazing guide and the tour was a highlight of my trip! We had a small group (myself a family of three) which was a perfect size. Pickup at the meeting spot was easy and clear and Cumali carried an easy to spot umbrella so we never got lost in the crowds. Our tour crossed the two continents and featured restaurants and food carts I never would have found myself. A great way to spend my last night in the city!
This was our first day in Istanbul. It is HUGE - so it was so nice to get a lay of the land from Cumali. He was super informative and very fun. I highly recommend this tour and Cumali. - you won't regret it. Oh - and do not eat before you go - there is a lot of food!
The food was all very different and exotic. The guide was knowledgeable and funny! We went to both daises of Istanbul and tried all sorts of stuff!
Great idea to take this tour that includes Asia and Europe sides. All the food was good and the guide was friendly and very helpful. We all enjoyed (family with 2 teenagers) the walk, the food and the boat trip.
Atahan was a great host! Very knowledgeable about Turkish food & history. We had a really nice time talking to him - felt like we were hanging out with a friend by the end. He also helped us get Tram tickets and which line to take.
Lots of good quality fresh food at very reasonable prices. Not focusing on an alcohol culture. Lots to see and do.

My friend and I booked the private food tour so we could move at our own pace without holding up a group. We really enjoyed the tour. We had a great variety of food. We enjoyed seeing the Asian side of Istanbul with a guide and trying everything from a lettuce wrap (great start on European side) to fish to pickle juice to great baclava.
Salih was the absolute best tour guide I’ve ever come across. He was super knowledgeable and friendly and took us to some amazing off the radar local food places. We had been in Istanbul for a few days before this food tour and felt that we ate the same things almost every time so Salih did a fantastic job showing us some awesome new choices!
