Wonderful place to visit. Our tour guide Steve (I believe that was his name) was great. Knowledgeable, managed two languages seamlessly for the group and super friendly.
Steve is an extraordinary guide! He is able to change languages with great ease. His knowledge about the Cathedral of Strasbourg is astounding - and fascinating! We were a group of people from all over, and he kept us mesmerized for the entire tour. Additionally, his sense of humor and smile made us wonderfully comfortable. Bravo milles fois to Steve!!!!
Visiting Strasbourg with the family, the Notre Dame Cathedral was our highlight, beautiful, and we were all thrilled. A small group for the tour, pleasantly cool in the church space while it was blazing hot outside. We learned a lot about the German-French history of Alsace, the emergence of the Gothic architectural style from its Romanesque predecessor. We had a lot of joy and fascination during the explanation of the large astronomical clock, whose function, accuracy, and modernity thrilled everyone. Our guide Stève introduced us to the building from the inside and outside with all its big and small features, told the story vividly and excitingly, answered all questions, and left us with a newly ignited love for the building and its history and stories.
Vielen dank !
Stève is super knowledgeable and educated. We learned so much about this cathedral and I would give him 10 ⭐️ is available. He is also very pleasant.
Thanks a lot !
What an informative and super interesting tour. Guide was fantastic! Then we did the steps which was super fun! Great views!
A pleasure ! Thanks !
Guide Stève very friendly and competent. The visit lasted 15 minutes longer than the announced timing. Some interesting anecdotes. The only downside is that, when booking, the number of participants in the tour is unknown. There were four of us... and there were six more people. At 10 finally, it was no problem but what if the number was much larger!!!! Tour focused on the inside of the cathedral while the exterior is also remarkable... That's a shame! Especially since the price per person is 26 euros (which is why I was thinking of a "private" tour)
Merci pour votre commentaire 😁 je vais prendre en compte vos remarques pour améliorer la visite.
A dynamic guide who listens to his audience and knows how to make history exciting
Merci beaucoup 😁 !
Very delightful tour! We learned so much about this beautiful cathedral. The clock, alone, was worth the tour. We learned all about the inner workings of the clock and how it is all coordinated together - it is truly amazing. Lots of beautiful art and artifacts within the cathedral. Such an interesting couple of hours. Well worth your time if you want to learn about some history of the area.
Our guide was the best guide we had in 2 weeks in Europe. He had great knowledge of history & fun & interesting stories. The Cathedral is amazing, but without a competent guide, its hard to appreciate all of it. This is not a “skip the line” tour, and the line was very long, but our guide told interesting stories throughout—so the waiting in line went quickly. Loved it all!
I was with my daughter who will be 10 soon. We have stayed inside the cathedral because outside it was too full of people with the Christmas' market around her. The visit was very interesting. We learn a lot of things about the building of the cathedral but also about the Alsace's story between France and Germany. I am from.Strasbourg (I left several years ago) and I have learned a lot of things. Steve, the Guide, knew a lot of little details interesting and funny, that is why my daughter was intersting in ils explanations. And this cathedral is just magnificent. Every stone has ils own story. And obviously.. the astronomical clock is extraordinaire. It's a really good idea to take a guided visit
