Vous aurez besoin de votre propre voiture pour cette visite qui vous guidera avec un programme audio et des destinations marquées à travers le premier parc éolien commercial du sud de la Calfornie. Une fois la réservation effectuée, nous vous envoyons un e-mail de confirmation accompagné d'un téléchargement d'application et d'instructions. La visite commence par un parc d'exposition d'éoliennes non opérationnelles de succès et d'échecs, ainsi qu'un arrêt à une véritable éolienne génératrice où vous pouvez vous approcher et prendre des photos. La visite se termine par un arrêt à la centrale électrique d'Indigo et au parc éolien à la retraite. Là, vous pouvez sortir sur la 19e avenue jusqu'à Indian Canyon Road et repartir avec plus de connaissances sur les énergies renouvelables ! La visite dure environ une heure selon votre rythme. Nous vous demandons de respecter les autres en ne vous rassemblant pas aux destinations indiquées. Veuillez laisser les voitures devant vous terminer leur exploration avant votre tour. Une réservation comprend deux adultes.

Tom’s passion got us excited about the history and functionality of this Palm Springs landmark. The windmills had always been a mystery to me since I was a small child, passing them on frequent trips to the desert with my grandparents. Finally learning how the wind turbines work - and how important they are to our everyday lives in ways many people take for granted - was fascinating. It’s an experience I won’t forget and one I’d recommend to everyone visiting the area.

Wasn’t sure if I wanted to do the golf cart tour or the less expensive self guided. We chose the self guided and were perfectly happy. The gentleman that worked there also gave us a great intro prior to starting the driving tour.

Great tour to learn about some green energy history. Self guided though the app so you can go at your own pace. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Hold on to your hat because it will try to fly away.

Honestly such an incredible tour! We opted for the VIP tour and it was fascinating. Learned a lot and our guide Tom was very knowledgeable and happy to answer all of our questions (of which we had many!). Would recommend to anyone who’s visiting nearby.

Staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Learned a lot. Highly suggest going back at sunset for pictures from across the highway-they were amazing photos. The self guided tour was well worth the cost.

I would highly recommend this tour if you are in the palm springs area. I am from the midwest and we have wind farms like this. I have never been able to see one up close though. It made you really appreciate them when you were looking up at them. I would suggest doing the golf cart tour. We learned alot from the tour guide. He was very knowledgeable.

A unique experience, to be sure. After checking in and paying at the reception trailer, we watched a semi-interesting video detailing various facets of the wind farm and wind industry. You then download an app that provides audio explaining the things you see as you drive around the property in your own vehicle. It's interesting to see historical windmill blades and hear about various windmills that are currently operating. Not overwhelmingly interesting, but still decent. It's a bit expensive (about $28 per adult). If you're looking for something out of the ordinary while you're in the Coachella Valley, this tour is it.
