Description

Everything was perfect, the guide was very attentive
If not a fraud, incompetent. No excuse for not having a phone on. No response to calls or messages night before the tour or the morning of. Hotel pickup and details were filled in weeks ago. Never showed up at 7:30, kept calling, after 8:30 visited office on Google maps. House, no answer. Police department helped in getting an apology and a refund was sent after.
Super recommended experience! We went with Emi who is excellent! It was always to the rhythm of the group and being in all the details so that we get there well! The glacier is so spectacular that you will be speechless! Clearly I'll be back!
I have mixed feelings about this tour. On the positive side, there were many bright moments: the guides were professional, friendly, and supportive. We had meaningful conversations, and their advice throughout the journey was very helpful. The views along the way were absolutely stunning—it's hard to imagine anyone not being moved by such breathtaking scenery. However, despite these positives, there were several issues that left a bitter aftertaste. 1. Misleading information about the tour format Before booking, I was told that this would be a small group tour with a maximum of six people. If the group exceeded this size, additional guides would be provided to ensure a personalized experience. In reality, there were about 20 participants and three guides. Instead of personalized attention, we moved as one large group, with one guide at the front, another in the middle, and the third at the back. Occasionally, two guides stayed at the rear. The pace was surprisingly fast. We reached Laguna Esmeralda in 60-70 minutes, with only two very brief stops of about two minutes each to drink water and take a few photos. After reaching the lagoon, we began a steep ascent, and the breaks remained minimal—a single short stop for about two minutes to use the restroom and hydrate. The climb was quite intense, with a steep incline. Even though I have good physical fitness (I work out regularly and do scuba diving), I found myself struggling to catch my breath at one point. I tried slowing down or stopping to recover, but the main group continued without pause. The guides explained that with such a large group, they couldn't afford to stop frequently, as it would disrupt the schedule. One guide stayed with me to provide support, which I appreciated, but it still felt strange to be the "weak link," especially when I consider myself physically capable. At the summit, we had only about 20-30 minutes to rest, eat, take photos, and prepare for the descent. This wasn't nearly enough time to fully enjoy the experience or capture memories along the route, as the fast pace left little room for photos or videos. On the way back, there was just one brief five-minute stop after descending to refill water, and then we immediately continued walking to the endpoint. 2. Issues with organization There were misunderstandings with the booking process. Initially, I booked the tour for two people, but later I canceled for one and kept the reservation for myself. This should have been a simple adjustment, but I had to follow up myself to confirm the pickup time the day before. It gave me the impression that they had forgotten about me entirely 3. Delays with transportation On the day of the tour, the car was 20 minutes late. The company informed us of a minor delay but provided no further details 4. Food As for the food, the sandwich provided was quite small and basic. On the bright side, the sweets and tea were good and added a pleasant touch to the experience. Final thoughts In conclusion, this tour was a mixed experience. On one hand, I saw incredible landscapes and met interesting people. The guides genuinely tried their best to make the experience enjoyable. However, the organizational issues and the discrepancy between expectations and reality left me feeling disappointed
We did the albino eye glacier hike, which exceeded all our expectations. It’s a hard road as they indicate but both guides, Emi and Lucho, were watching every step to make everything easier and feel completely safe. The different landscapes seen along the way are wonderful, capped by the arrival meters from the glacier wall, walking along the frozen lagoon.
Excellent experience. Excellent Fernando, the guide... Highly recommended Plus she takes nice pictures for instagram😉 10/10
Best experience I have ever had got to see awesome views and walk on top of a glacier. Something that I had never experienced before and would recommend to anyone that want to challenge themselves with a life changing hike!
Excellent experience, very good individual and group coordination, very cool guide, always attentive to everyone's needs. I hope to return!
Emi is an excellent guide, always aware of how the road was going, and keeping an appropriate pace for the group. In my case, albino eye trekking was done. I recommend it 100%
We took the excursion with Luciano and Emiliano and it was wonderful! They were very careful and explained everything to us very well. Excellent experience
