En une journée, vous explorerez des moulins à vent emblématiques, verrez des sabots se faire, vous adonnerez à une dégustation de fromage Gouda et en apprendrez davantage sur la remise en état de la mer du Sud. Visitez le charmant village de pêcheurs de Volendam, promenez-vous dans son port et profitez d'une promenade panoramique en ferry jusqu'à la péninsule de Marken, un endroit où le temps semble s'arrêter. Connue pour ses maisons traditionnelles en bois, Marken offre un aperçu de la vie Néerlandaise ancienne, avec ses rues pittoresques.

9h00 Prise en charge à votre hôtel à Amsterdam. À quelques minutes en voiture de la ville au Zaanse Schans
9h30 : Nous arrivons au Zaanse Schans. Il s'agit d'un village préservé avec une variété de maisons historiques, d'entrepôts et de moulins à vent industriels en activité. On a l'impression de voyager dans le temps ! Vous découvrirez la vie entre les XVIIIe et XIXe siècles et rejoindrez un atelier de chaussures en bois pour voir comment sont fabriqués les sabots, pour terminer par une visite d'un moulin à vent en activité.
À la ferme fromagère d'Henry Willig, nous aurons une dégustation de fromage Gouda. Ils font partie du top 10 des fromagers mondiaux. Si vous êtes amateur de fromage… vous êtes au paradis du fromage ! Ils ont 30 saveurs de fromage à déguster. 29 sont pasteurisés pour que vous puissiez voyager avec le fromage partout dans le monde. Ils ont également la possibilité d'expédier le fromage. Vous n’avez donc pas à vous soucier de choisir un seul favori.
12h30 Nous nous dirigerons vers le célèbre village de pêcheurs de Volendam.
13h00 : Déjeuner à Volendam. Vous pouvez choisir où vous souhaitez déjeuner. En tant qu'habitants, nous connaissons beaucoup d'endroits sympas. Que ce soit dans un restaurant de poisson local ou simplement pour une collation.14h00 : Promenade à travers Volendam, connu comme le village de pêcheurs le plus populaire des Pays-Bas. Le charme de Volendam réside dans son port et ses authentiques maisons de pêcheurs. Le labyrinthe est la partie la plus ancienne de Volendam. C’est ici que nous verrons de petites maisons de pêcheurs et des rues étroites. Ce qui est unique dans le labyrinthe, c’est que les maisons ont été construites sans aucun tracé de rue. Nous ferons une petite balade dans le labyrinthe et sur la célèbre digue de Volendam. 14h15 : Traversée en ferry sur l'IJselmeer (ancienne mer du Sud) jusqu'à la péninsule de Marken, autrefois une île de la mer du Sud.
14h45 : Arrivée sur Marken. Marken est un petit village avec des maisons en bois colorées, des ponts-levis et un petit port situé sur une ancienne île. Nous ferons une petite balade à travers le village.
15.00: De retour à votre hôtel à Amsterdam

Our day with Esther was the highlight of our trip. She did an amazing job of guiding us through culture, history, food, and so much more. Her personal connection to windmills, farming, and the people at each stop added such depth to the tour. She was such a pleasure to spend the day with. Perfect day out with Esther. We saw so many wonderful things and the information Esther shared along the was amazing. We walked along paths through villages that had we been in our own we would have never thought we could go down. Esther was not only our tour guide she warm, charming and also a great photographer. She captured images of our tour and shared them with us at the end of the tour. Could not recommend this tour enough. If you are in Amsterdam, do yourself a favour and book one of the tours.

We spent a lovely day with our tour guide, Esther. She is warm, friendly and knowledgeable. We had many questions and she had answers and stories that turned the areas into living history with charm and filled with lived experiences. Because it was a private tour we could go at our own pace and had the flexibility to modify our schedule when we found something that really fascinated us. Esther really is the BEST!! We couldn’t be happier about our day of learning and experiencing this wonderful area of Holland.

From the moment Ester greeted us in our hotel lobby we knew we were going to have a great day. She is warm, friendly and knowledgeable about Holland. We had the best time visiting the windmills, villages and cheese shops. We had many questions and Esther had answers for all of the. She shared stories that made the history come to life. This was a private tour and therefore we were able to be flexible with the schedule. Everything worked out perfectly for us. Did some searching for a private tour to the windmills, wooden shoes and cheese countryside, not wanting the typical larger group type tour. So happy to have found the Windmill Girls! From the start communication was easy and responsive. We spent a wonderful day with Maaike today and met Esther as well while we were out exploring.
