I had an outstanding private tour of Westminster Abbey truly one of the best experiences I’ve had in London. As an English history enthusiast who has visited the Abbey more times than I can count, I wasn’t expecting to learn much new but I was completely wrong. Our guide brought incredible depth and insight, especially around the architecture, the Sanctuary, and the stories behind the kings and notable figures buried there. The way everything was explained made familiar spaces feel entirely new again. Highly recommend this tour to anyone, whether it’s your first visit or your tenth. It was absolutely worth the money.
Gio from Private London Tours set up 4 days of touring allowing us to maximize our time. We had a private guide Paul A. for 3 of the days; he was extremely thorough and entertaining at each venue. Gio paired our family of 6 adults with Aaron, our tour guide for 2 days. On the first day we went to Westminster Abbey and Churchill War Rooms. Ask for the VIP tour of Churchill War Rooms. It was a HIGHLIGHT of our trip to London! On our second day Aaron guided us through the Tower of London. Aaron was extremely knowledgeable, kind and witty. At the end of each tour, he walked us to our next stop of the day, which was very helpful. He truly went above and beyond. Gio and Aaron made our visit to London amazing!
Mike was our private tour guide for our family trip to London. He was amazing, nice , friendly, professional and very knowledgeable! Our trips to the Cotswolds, Windsor Castle, Churchill War Rooms and Tower of London would not have been the same without Mike. Dear Lanie, Unfortunately, this is a very unfair and misleading review. Your cancellation occurred less than 24 hours before the tour. As explained, at this point, we had already incurred costs for your guide and your ten non-refundable admission tickets. The refund policy on Viator is very clearly stated on your voucher. Our cancellation fee allows us to compensate our guides fairly for their time. It is not reasonable to expect us to absorb the cost of the guide and tickets due to last-minute changes on your part. Additionally, you did not request to be accommodated for a different date. Instead, we received a threat of a chargeback along with a demand for a refund. We always strive to be as accommodating as possible, and we strongly recommend our clients purchase travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances that might require last-minute changes or cancellations. Truly, an excellent opportunity. It would have taken me all day to explore with a self guided tour for what we efficiently saw and experienced in only two hours at Westminster Abbey. I certainly could have been there all day, but would’ve sacrificed a grand experience in the Churchill Warrooms. Having Gavin as a guide was magnificent. He was incredibly knowledgeable, but given his theater background, he made the experience truly memorable. He had so much to add to each and every opportunity. It was quite easily the highlight of our trip at both locations. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wishes to visit these magnificent places. If I could give more stars I would.
