Great customer service and knowledge of the area!
This trip is advertised to include visits to 3 mountain towns, all of which we were looking forward to visiting. We did not visit any of them. We were instead taken to two wineries and a cheese farm outside of those towns. The first winery was really good and we enjoyed the visit, but it was not in the town of Montepulciano. We could see it in the distance, but never went anywhere near the town. We were then late getting to the cheese farm and missed the tour. We did have a nice lunch overlooking the valley and they arranged for us to at least look at where the cheese was produced. This also was not in the city of Pienze as advertised and we never saw the town. Our next stop was another winery near the town of Montaicino, but not in it. I was really looking forward to a Brunello tasting as advertised, but we were taken to a small winery that was not very representative of the good Brunello wine we had been drinking during our visit to the area. This tour looked nothing like what was advertised. In addition, the driver did not speak very good English and provided no information as we traveled along the Val D’Orcia road. If we passed the areas where the film Gladiator was filmed, we would have never known. I reached out to the tour operator, Massimo, but was not able to get even a partial refund. Over all, this tour was nothing like the description and should be removed from TripAdvisor and Viator. I would highly recommend against using this tour operator since it was completely mis-represented.
Dear Clay, thank you for taking the time to write about your experience. Although it hurts, this gave our company the chance to improve the description and the general communication about this specific tour for further clients. The main focus was supposed to be a visit to two wineries in the two different wine regions of Montepulciano and Montalcino with a cheese farm visit and lunch with cheese tasting in between. The towns visits are not supposed to be an in-depth part of this specific tour as the food and wine experiences involved are and determine a considerable part of the expenses the company covered and paid for cause you did not skip those reason why we couldn’t agree to a refund. We will certainly use this review as part of our growth to avoid any further misunderstanding and clearly it would have been better to have you acknowledge the driver during the tour rather than let it go until the end of the tour and send a complaint after the experience.
Massimo and Tucany tours were a life saver! I had originally booked them to take our group from Florence to Cinqua Terre during our trip but was lucky enough to also get them to do the private tour of Tiacany ,Siena, and San gimignano. This included an amazing lunch and wine tasting. Massimos' energy and personality were just what we needed for our first time in Tuscany. Hiring Massimo to drive us saved so much stress, as he is unbelievably punctual and easygoing. With the constant rail strikes in Italy, I had no worries about getting to our next destination. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them upon our return for future trips. We'll worth every penny (euro!)
Our best day in Tuscany thanks to Massimo and his great personality, sense of humor and love of Italy. He was incredibly punctual in picking me and my husband up from our hotel and we instantly felt comfortable and welcomed in his very comfortable, impeccable van. I highly recommend his company to anyone looking for a driver to tour around Italy.
Luca was an excellent host, providing a comfortable ride, superb explanations of the area, its history and the wines. He got us to each location on time, escorted us and we had a fantastic experience. The wineries and the lunch were superb.
Massimo did a great job coordinating three different stops for us, transporting us between each stop, and providing us with a wonderful experience throughout Val D’Orcia. Massimo talked about points of interest throughout the entire tour. He took us to 2 wonderful wineries, a cheese farm for lunch, and some smaller stops along the way for pictures. We didn’t have to coordinate any logistics at all, which made it a very relaxing day. We would recommend Tuscany Luxury Tour to any group.
Luca and Massimo were fantastic! Extremely kind, professional, outgoing, and informative. Luca took me and my husband around Tuscany for a full day to see Sienna, Montariggioni, Chianti, with a final stop at a local vineyard for a light lunch and wine tasting. We really enjoyed his company while he told us all about the history of the region and helpful tips about traveling in Italy. I would recommend this business to anyone traveling in Tuscany - absolutely worth it! Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience!
