Visite privée : villages alsaciens pittoresques et dégustation de vin avec un expert local

Description

Our private tour was hands down one of the best experiences I have had while traveling. It was perfect. The van was very comfortable for our group (5 adults) with room to spare. We were able to enjoy visiting multiple villages and also tour a castle. All with great insight and details from the wonderful, friendly, knowledgable and engaging guide. Pierre was so much fun to chat with, and he made everything effortless and magical for us. I will absolutely book with him again in the future. Our entire group was so happy and entertained! The whole process from start to finish was flawless. the booking was easy, he was responsive, he designed a trip for our needs and interest, and we loved it. I put together a 3 week trip for our group and booked so many activities and tours, and this was the best.
My mom and I had an amazing day exploring the beautiful Alsatian countryside with Pierre. He took us to three picture-perfect villages, a wonderful wine tasting, and a delicious local lunch — all perfectly planned yet relaxed and fun. Pierre’s knowledge, passion, and friendly personality made the day unforgettable. We learned so much about the region and felt like we were exploring with a friend. If you’re visiting Colmar, don’t miss the chance to tour with Pierre — it was one of the highlights of our trip! 🍷🏰🌸
Pierre was the perfect guide for the day. It was just my wife and I. He asked what we wanted, gave us great suggestions. Gave us time on our own, but also guided us through some of the more interesting places. Very knowledgeable about every where we went. The wineries he selected were great, smaller ones, less tourists. The food selections were wonderful. The van was very clean, modern, and he was a very good driver.
Hi Keith, Thank you very much for your review. It was a pleasure to spend this day with you and Lindsay to show you the picturesque villages of Alsace and give you the opportunity to taste some wines. I wish you a very good day :) Warm regards from Alsace Pierre
Words are inadequate to express my gratitude to Pierre for the wonderful experiences he gave my wife and I in Alsace during our honeymoon. He created a unique itinerary for us which included tours of picturesque villages, educational visits to centuries old family-run wine estates, a local cheese shop for a unique lunch and other hidden gem local restaurants. He went above and beyond for us revealing his favorite hiking spots and he even brought us to a local farm for a truly wonderful post-hike lunch. We will forever remember our time in Alsace with Pierre.
Pierre was the best! We had a great tour of 4 villages and loved each one. He explained just enough history but not overload! He spoke clear and was easy to understand. Couldn’t have found a better guide! Can’t wait to come back and have him for more experiences……
This was the first time I had travelled with Pierre, he is outstanding, passionate, informative, engaging and entertaining. From initial contact to booking, everything was coordinated perfectly by Pierre. He is by far the best tour guide we have traveled with.
Very fortunate to enjoy this tour with prize winning Alsatian sommelier Jerome Georges who shared his knowledge of wines while being thoughtfully aware of all levels of wine interests/knowledge 👏
Pierre is an amazing guide! His knowledge of the area made this trip so much more than just sightseeing. We learned about its rich history and people which made this trip a special experience. Pierre made us feel like we were his top priority. He was so flexible and was more than willing to make adjustments to our itinerary as we went. His connections with locals enabled us to visit places that one could not if in a large group. He made us feel like family!
Dear Lane, Thank you so much for your review. It was a real pleasure to take care of you, Gail and Nancy during all these days. I always do my best to show you my favorite places in Alsace and I am really happy when you are happy. See you next time. Warm Regards from Alsace :) Pierre
We have used Pierre's services at least three times now, based on his dependability, friendliness, and excellent personality. He is fluent in English too, which is a big help to us non-French speakers. In addition to airport transfers to Zurich, Pierre has taken on us a fabulous Christmas Market tour in Alsace and Germany, as well as a tour of the Munster Valley to witness the "transhumance" of the cows to their high summer pastures. He is a wealth of knowledge, attends to every detail, and saves us hassles at every turn. We happily give Pierre and Best-of Alsace a 5-star review!
Dear Alan, Thank you so much for your review, it's always a pleasure to take care of you and Chris. I always do my best to show you my favorite places in Alsace and I am really happy when you are happy. See you next time my friend. Warm Regards from Alsace :) Pierre
I wish I could give Pierre more than the maximum of 5 stars! He worked with me to create a private custom 2 day tour based on World War 2 and my father in law’s service in S Alsace. Pierre was very concise, clear and prompt with his communications via email. I feel lucky to have found him as I didn’t want the same old tour that everyone else does in that region. Pierre showed up promptly to pick us up in his beautiful van both days. Day 1: We went to the Alsace Memorial and Struthof Natzweiler camp. As we drove Pierre talked about Alsace’s role in WW2. He is very knowledgeable and when he doesn’t know something he tries to find out. Both visits were somber and Pierre accompanied us through out, making comments and translating when needed. Unlike other guides who would just drop us at a museum to go through on our own Pierre stayed with us. We had lunch at a local restaurant which was very good. He offered to take us to see St Odiles monastery up on top of a mountain at the end of the first day-an amazing building with a breathtaking view. It was an extra-not included on the previously planned tour. Pierre didn’t mind going over our allotted time if he thought we would appreciate an experience, By the end of the first day we realized how lucky we were to have found a knowledgeable guide who was a careful driver. Day 2: We had asked to visit the woods near Engwiller where my father in law was wounded when he stepped on a mine in 1945. On his own, Pierre had gone to the town and woods before our tour. He found a memorial to local people who were killed during both wars at the local church. We also visited the cemetery and found some of the people who had perished in both conflicts. Then we drove to the woods and walked through it. It was beautiful and eerie knowing so many people had died in this peaceful place. We could feel my father in law and many others there. I had tears in my eyes. After that we had lunch and then continued on to Fort de Schoenenbourg on the Maginot line. It is not to be missed! The volunteers have a wealth of knowledge about this complex self sufficient underground bunker. It is huge and amazing. We have Cheyenne Mountain complex but the French did it first. A volunteer there gave us much information that Pierre translated to us- we would never have had the same experience without him!! Again, our tour went over time but Pierre never rushed us.
What an honor to receive this wonderful comment. It was a real pleasure to spend these two days with you. I really like to share on the subject of world war. But doing it with you was an amazing experience because the story of John's father. I will never forget those moments. Take care and see you soon :)
