La tombe de Ramsès III, désignée KV 11, est un système complexe de la Vallée des Rois. La tombe de Ramsès IV (KV 2) dans la Vallée des Rois est assez différente de la plupart des autres tombes construites ici. Cette tombe est de loin la plus spectaculaire des autres tombes que vous verrez. Les hiéroglyphes sur le mur représentent des scènes de la litanie de Ra, du livre des morts, du livre des cavernes, du livre des cieux, du livre d'Amduat et du livre de la nuit. Les couleurs bleues et blanches sur les murs à l'intérieur de la chambre funéraire sont très vibrantes et vous pouvez voir le sarcophage du roi en granit rose. Il y a aussi une belle scène de la déesse Nut au plafond, où elle est représentée avalant le soleil et voyageant dans son estomac, pour que Nut lui donne naissance. La tombe a tellement de couleurs et de détails, même le plafond au-dessus des sarcophages avec sa déesse Nut qui s'étend à travers l'espace. Le sarcophage est l'un des plus grands de la vallée, même si certaines peintures se sont détériorées, c'est l'une des plus décorées.
Après avoir visité les tombes, vous serez transporté au temple de la reine Hatchepsout (Deir el Bahari), la seule femme à avoir régné sur l'Égypte en tant que Pharaon. Colosses de Memnon – Gardiens de Thèbes antiques Surgissant majestueusement du Louxor thébain, les colosses de Memnon sont deux statues massives en pierre du pharaon Amenhotep III, chacune d'entre elles mesurant environ 18 mètres (60 pieds) de haut. Ces personnages imposants veillent sur la vallée du Nil depuis plus de 3 400 ans, accueillant les voyageurs et gardant les ruines du temple mortuaire autrefois magnifique d'Amenhotep III. Construits à l’origine pour honorer le pharaon comme un dieu dans l’au-delà, les Colosses faisaient partie du plus grand complexe de temples de l’ancienne Thèbes – aujourd’hui perdu par les inondations et le temps. Malgré des siècles de dégâts, les statues restent un spectacle époustouflant, surtout au lever du soleil, lorsque la lumière projette des teintes dorées L’une des statues est devenue légendaire à l’époque gréco-romaine, connue pour « chanter » ou émettre un son mystérieux à l’aube – considérée par les touristes antiques comme la voix de Memnon, un héros de la guerre de Troie. Ce phénomène a fait du site l'un des plus visités et des plus écrits sur les monuments du monde antique.

The complete visit to the Valley of the Kings was amazing. I would not have expected so much beauty, especially in the tombs of Seti I and Ramsete IV. The tomb of Tutankhamun is also worth a visit, if only for the fame of the treasure on display in Cairo. It also deserves the temple of Hatshepshut, a masterpiece that has endured through the millennia. Khalid showed us the most deserving things, explaining everything with great competence. This tour is highly recommended! We took a balloon ride booked through the same company so our guide met us afterwards. The tour was well organized. Our Egyptologist guide Abdul, spoke good English and also good archaeological background. He is knowledgeable and learned the history of people who lived in the areas of the tomb sites. In the Valley of the Kings, we indicated that we want to see SETTI which is an extra cost and King Tut. SETII IS WORTH THE EXTRA FEE. The hieroglyphs are vibrant and detained. Abdul chose the other 3 tombs for us which we all love, especially Ramses III. He explained what we will see inside using postcards (which we purchased later) so it was nice to hunt the hieroglyphics and know their meaning. He gave us enough time to explore each tombs on our own. We also had time for quick snack break as it got really hot inside the tombs. Don't expect to eat a full sit down meal during the tour especially if you decide to visit 5 tombs which can be time consuming. Overall, very happy with this tour, nice driver and excellent tour guide, Abdul.

Spectacular. The valley of the kings cannot be missed, with the tomb of Seti I being well worth what we paid. Hassan was a truly excellent guide - he answered all our questions and gave us plenty of flexibility to move at our own pace and add on other local sites into the afternoon. Would recommend.
