Située à 1 900 m d'altitude et couvrant 1 240 km², la vaste étendue de Sevana Lich (lac Sevan) est le plus grand lac du Caucase et l'un des plus grands lacs d'eau douce de haute altitude au monde. Sevanavank est situé sur la péninsule de Sevan. En 305, elle fut fondée par saint Grégoire l'Illuminateur, qui construisit l'église sur l'emplacement d'un temple païen. Le deuxième arrêt est la ville de Tsaghkadzor. C'est une ville thermale de la province de Kotayk en Arménie, c'est une destination de ski et climatique populaire. Le complexe du monastère médiéval de Kecharis est situé dans la partie nord-ouest de la ville de Tsaghkadzor. Il se distingue non seulement par son originalité architecturale, mais aussi par son histoire intéressante. Sa formation a duré 220 ans, avec plus de 150 ans d'interruption. Un tel sort était dû aux particularités de la période historique. La construction du monastère a commencé sous le règne de la dynastie Bagratuni et s'est poursuivie sous la dynastie Pahlavuni. La première église dans la zone du complexe monastique de Kecharis, Saint Grégoire l'Illuminateur, a été construite entre 995 et 1003, puis d'autres lieux sacrés ont été construits. Le monastère de Kecharis comprend trois églises, Saint Grégoire l'Illuminateur avec une salle en forme de dôme, les églises Saint Nshan et Saint Cathoghike, deux chapelles et une cour. Un peu plus à l'ouest, sur le chemin de la forêt, se trouve une autre église – St Harutiun. Contrairement aux monastères similaires d’Arménie, les structures principales de Kecharis forment un coin droit sur leurs propres piliers.
Le lac de haute montagne Sevan est la "perle de l'Arménie". Lac Sevan - situé à 1 900 m d'altitude au centre des hauts plateaux arméniens, à 63 km au nord-est de la capitale arménienne, la ville d'Erevan, et est le plus grand des lacs du Caucase. De tous les côtés, Sevan est entourée de chaînes de montagnes offrant une vue imprenable sur le lac alpin. Le lac est réputé pour son eau douce et pure, et l'air pur des montagnes a un effet bénéfique sur la santé.
Le complexe du monastère Sevanavank est situé sur la péninsule de Sevan. En 305, elle a été fondée par Saint Grégoire l'Illuminateur, qui a construit l'église sur l'emplacement d'un temple païen. Au 9ème siècle, les princes de Syunik ont imposé à Sevan la raison de leur supput. En 874, l'épouse du prince syunik Vassak et la fille du roi Ashot Bagratuni - Mariam construisirent ici deux églises - St. Arakeloc et St. Astvatcatcin. Ils sont riches en diverses capitales sculptées dans le bois, dont une partie est conservée au musée d’histoire de l’Arménie et à la galerie d’art de Saint-Pétersbourg (Hermitage). En 1869, une école spirituelle a ouvert ses portes dans le complexe. Au sommet de la montagne de l'île, les vestiges de l'église avec une salle en forme de dôme sont conservés. Le territoire du cloître est riche en khachqars (croix de pierre).
Le téléphérique en fauteuil de Tsaghkadzor est situé sur le versant oriental du mont Teghenis, entre 1966 et 2819 m d'altitude. Il fonctionne depuis 1967. Du haut de 2819 m, où le télésiège rapide vous emmène en 32 minutes, toute l'Arménie est visible d'un seul coup d'œil, et si le temps est clair, vous pourrez profiter d'une vue imprenable sur le mont Ararat. En 2004, l'ancien téléphérique a été remplacé par un nouveau téléphérique moderne et en 2017 également, d'importants investissements ont été réalisés. Maintenant que le téléphérique est bien équipé, le repos actif et sûr des touristes est garanti.

Our 2nd day tour in Armenia was absolutely amazing and one of the highlights of our trip. We truly enjoyed every stop and felt so blessed to experience snow for the first time — it was magical! ❄️✨ The cable car ride in Tsaghkadzor was unforgettable, especially as first-timers. We also loved warming up with hot chocolate there — it was really good and perfect for the cold weather ☕🤍 Lake Sevan was stunning, and the restaurant beside the lake was a great choice. The food was delicious and the view made the experience even better. Most importantly, our tour guide Davit Tovmasyan was excellent — very kind, professional, and speaks English very well, which made everything easy and enjoyable for us. He explained the places clearly and made the whole day smooth and fun. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable day. Highly recommended — we enjoyed it so much and will cherish these memories of Armenia forever 🇦🇲❤️

The experience was really nice. We booked the whole Armenia trip with IFly tourism. We experienced the cable ride and it was amazing. The view was from the top was exceptional. We also went to see the Sevan Lake. The view was really beautiful and it was veryy cold. We drank some coffee and hot chocolate and enjoyed the view. Good experience. All the places have their own charm. Its nice to be picked up and dropped off at your hotel. A little bit pricey, ultimately paying for a cab ride.
