Liverpool en tant que ville a tellement à offrir et bien sûr, le fait d'être le foyer du meilleur groupe du monde n'est pas quelque chose que nous prenons à la légère. Au cours de cette tournée, nous nous imprégnerons de tout ce qui a conduit les « Beatles » au rang de superstar mondiale et en découvrirons davantage sur les histoires qui ont fait d'eux ce qu'ils sont. Nous découvrirons et explorerons tout ce qui concerne les « Beatles » - de Penny Lane à Strawberry Field et bien plus encore !

Nous commencerons par la statue emblématique des Fab Four : John, Paul, George et Ringo. C'est dans un endroit magnifique sur la jetée de Liverpool, directement sur la rivière Mersey. Entouré par les bâtiments historiques des « 3 Grâces », il y a beaucoup à voir et à apprendre dans cette région et de fantastiques opportunités de photos.
L'école d'art que John Lennon a fréquentée, située à côté du lycée fréquenté par Paul McCartney et George Harrison. Ici, nous discutons des débuts du groupe et revenons sur l'époque où ils étaient les "Quarry Men" et qui jouaient également à Hambourg en Allemagne. Un magnifique quartier du centre-ville entouré des deux cathédrales de Liverpool.
Une photographie du plus ancien panneau routier « Penny Lane » que Paul McCartney a récemment signé. Nous discutons, entre autres, de la raison pour laquelle Paul a écrit la chanson et de ce qu'elle signifiait pour lui. Ensuite, nous descendrons Penny Lane pendant que nous écouterons bien sûr la chanson et admirerons l'environnement que Paul énumère dans la chanson.
La belle chanson de John parlait d'un endroit qu'il avait l'habitude de visiter et, heureusement, cet endroit est toujours là à ce jour. Aujourd'hui, un centre de visiteurs moderne, une boutique de souvenirs et un musée dédié à Jean (toujours géré par l'Armée du Salut). Nous nous promenons dans les magnifiques jardins que John fréquentait et visitons également les célèbres portes rouges - en admirant les environs et en discutant de tout ce qui concerne John.
Un endroit unique qui dispose de deux zones spéciales côte à côte. L'endroit où John et Paul se sont rencontrés pour la première fois alors qu'ils étaient adolescents et aussi la tombe de "Eleanor Rigby".
En tant que jeune homme, John a déménagé pour vivre avec sa tante Mimi dans une belle maison où elle l'a élevé. Maintenant détenu et conservé par le National Trust.
Accueil de la famille McCartney tout au long de l'adolescence de Paul et également lieu de naissance de bon nombre de leurs premiers succès. Paul et John ont passé d'innombrables heures dans cette maison à écrire et à répéter.
Ringo est définitivement issu de débuts modestes et a grandi dans un endroit qui lui tient très à cœur. Nous visitons sa petite maison d'enfance ainsi que la superbe peinture de lui juste à côté.
Nous jetons un coup d'œil au club le plus célèbre du monde "The Cavern" de l'extérieur - situé sur Mathew Street. Les Beatles ont joué ici 292 fois et c'était leur maison et l'endroit où ils ont gagné nombre de leurs premiers adeptes.

It was amazing. Jack was so knowledgeable. We went everywhere we wanted and told his bits you wouldn’t get from a big tour.

My husband Dean and I had a fantastic private Beatles tour with Marc. We started at the Beatles statue and then visited Penny Lane and Strawberry Field, along with several other iconic locations connected to the band's history. What made the tour so special was Marc's incredible knowledge and storytelling. He shared fascinating facts, background, and personal details that brought the songs to life in a completely new way. His insights have actually changed the way I listen to Beatles music. I now catch references and meanings that I never understood before. One of my favorite moments was learning the story behind the lyric, "nothing to get hung about" from Strawberry Fields Forever. Now I can't help but giggle every time I hear it. Our tour guide was exceptional. He knew all sorts of Beatles history. As our tour progressed he played Beatles music significant to where we were located. I.E. played Penny Lane on Penny Lane road. At the end of the tour he dropped us off at a pub where we enjoyed Fish and Chips, and then walked back to our ship, after he gave us specific directions first. He told us we were lucky doing the tour early for the traffic wasn’t bad. Well done.

We only had one day in Liverpool since we took the train up from London. This tour is an absolute must for not only Beatles fans, but also anyone interested in history. Our guide, Mark, rightly told us that you cannot understand the Beatles and their music without understanding Liverpool and our city tour was so insightful. Lots of cool surprises, We then took in all of the Beatles sights and were in no way disappointed. Mark was so knowledgeable and full of personality.
