(Visite privée) ShinjukuUnfiltered Secret bar restaurant Tour

Description

This was my first tour in Japan, so I was a little nervous at first, but it ended up being the highlight of my trip. The guide was not only fun and friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable and flexible, which made the entire evening fantastic. We visited three unique spots, and all the food and drinks were delicious. I also appreciated that the guide showed us some major landmarks along the way. They even went above and beyond by answering my questions about the rest of my itinerary and sharing great tips. Plus, they took plenty of photos for us. It was truly a memorable experience, and I highly recommend this tour!
After meeting Yodai our friendly guide we set off on our culinary and bar hopping adventure. The first place we went to in one of the back alleys of Shinjuku we ate some food I have never tried before like grilled frog and tuna cheek. It's true what they say frog tastes just like chicken. For drinks I went for apricot liquor but my friend being a little more adventurous tried the snake liquor. After a little coxing I gave it a try, and it was actually quite good. After that we went to a more traditional style Japanese izakaya where we ate our fill of sumptuous Japanese dishes and had an interesting conversation with our guide about Japanese culture who we discovered was also a professional DJ. Finally, we had a little stroll around Golden Gai soaking up the atmosphere and ended up in a high-class bar where we tried various kinds of sake, brewed by the bar owner's relatives in north Japan. Great chance to visit some places I probably would never have I found by myself. Truely enjoyable tour.
Good photo opportunities, a wide variety of food and drink, and friendly, knowledgeable guides!
