Fantastic day! This was a relaxing way to mix things up on our trip and Paola kept us entertained
The experience was wonderful: a perfect blend of nature and culture. You can see that the boys know about birds and animals so it was a pleasure to visit the reserve with them: we identified birds and plants. In Piriapolis, we went to eat at a restaurant with a great view of the city and exquisite food! This city is beautiful and kind of a turn of the past. We traveled in a very comfortable car. In short, a very good alternative to know more about this beautiful country.
This was a wonderful tour! Paola & Fabio were great guides. Very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. We explored old castles and the ruins of an old church. We had lunch on top of a hill with a panoramic view of this city!
Paola & Fabio were attentive, informative, and curious guides who provided us with an amazing immersion into the history of Uruguay and the connection to the heart of its people. Each step of the way we were able to connect the past and present with a tour of lovely Piriopolis. From the fascinating story of the city’s inception by the industrious alchemist-Francisco Piria to strolling the Rambla de los Argentinos breathing in the sea air and viewing a sea elephant pup to Cerro San Antonio for spectacular views of the picturesque shoreline framed by an azure sky the day was an expertly guided and refreshing immersion into the depth of Uruguay’s diversity. Fabio & Paola are engaging with their deep love for nature and passion for sharing their delight of the native flora and fauna. We spent time at Reserva de Flora y Fauna del Pan de Azúcar learning of the conservation efforts of Uruguayan wildlife. We were able to see the feeding of capybaras and puma- saw many birds of prey, iguana like reptiles, fox, crocodiles, and many more. It was a wonderful way to understand more of the natural inhabitants of the country. Paola & Fabio are flexible and willingly took requests while being eager participants in exploring an abandoned church I was curious to explore. They were courteous each step of the way asking if our needs were met or if we’d like alone time for lunch. We were more than happy to dine together as they are engaging conversationalist. They were conscientious to make our day what we desired while willingly snapping photos & providing links for further exploring. Overall I chose this private tour because I wanted more than the standard offering of tours. I wanted to know more about the origins, history, passion, and heart of this beautiful country. Fabio & Paola provided that and more. I cannot highly recommend this tour enough. It is my goal when I travel to be enriched, this was the perfect day- filling my soul and my memory with joy. Thank you Paola & Fabio.
Shannon, we are glad to know you had a good time getting to see more of what the country has to offer. We too enjoy the landscapes and animals. Uruguay is a small country with a big heart, and we’re always happy to share it with visitors.
Paola is very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and friendly. The activities and stops she included in the tour were very cool. I would definitely book another tour with her again.
Ella, we really enjoyed our day visiting Piriápolis with you. We hope you loved the view from the restaurant in San Antonio hill, and the Medieval Fair event in Piria's Castle, which were a lucky plus in our itinerary.
We had a great time with Paola! Lots of Uraguayan wildlife, along with some great views and local historical points of interest. Paola was very accomodating to our interests but also careful to make sure we were back to our cruise ship in time! The snacks were also great 😀.

Great tour to explore Uruguay's nature and animals. Paola, the tour guide was very friendly, informative &amazing. We had an unforgettable experience with Paola and her driver on this tour! Paola’s passion, knowledge, and warmth made every stop feel special. She went above and beyond to share fascinating details and ensure we were comfortable. The driver was skilled and courteous, making us feel safe and at ease the whole time. Piriápolis was simply magical! Paola was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating stories and details about the city’s history, wildlife, and local landmarks. The Pan de Azúcar Nature Reserve was a perfect introduction to Uruguay’s unique biodiversity. The climb to the top of the hill rewarded us with stunning panoramic views that were well worth the effort. Each stop had something special: Francisco Piria’s castle felt like stepping back in time, and strolling along the promenade gave us a sense of the town’s lively charm. The highlights for me were the peaceful moments at the Cerro del Toro and Fuente de Venus, and the breathtaking sunset views from the Cerro San Antonio. The local empanadas were delicious, and there were charming spots to shop for souvenirs. This tour was immersive, insightful, and unforgettable. Walter, wow! Thank you for taking the time to write such an amazing comment about our beautiful city. Send my regards to Novi and I wish you both a safe return home.
I had a great experience on this tour. Our guide Paola shared the most relevant details of Piriapolis history, and showed flexibility taking our preferences into consideration. By far, our favorite part of the day was the natural reserve in the Pan de Azucar hill - It is incredible. For us, as a family of 4 including small children, it was a really enjoyable activity to do together. We absolutely adored the coaties running around freely, looking for food; and the lazy capibaras taking a sun bath in their natural habitat. A clear example of the effort that Uruguay puts in keeping their biodiversity in a well-preserved area, while fostering a family-friendly environment. 100% recommend!
It is always enjoyable to spend the day showing such a beautiful city to curious foreigners such as yourself and your family. I know you took home a great amount of pictures to frame and post. Thank you for your review Levin! Send my regards to your wife and kids.
