En savoir plus sur la colonne de Marie, qui a donné son nom à la place; l'ancien et le nouvel hôtel de ville et le célèbre «Glockenspiel» (tour de l'horloge). Avec ses 43 cloches et ses 32 personnages, la tour de l’horloge est l’une des attractions les plus connues de Munich. Écoutez l’histoire de votre guide sur deux événements historiques réalisés par les figurines en bois à des heures fixes. À deux pas, vous atteindrez la plus ancienne église catholique de la ville, Saint-Pierre. Ensuite, assurez-vous de bien voir les doubles tours de la cathédrale Frauenkirche, la plus grande église de Munich, avec «l'empreinte du diable» et entourée d'une sombre légende. Suivez votre guide sur l'Odeonsplatz, découvrez le Beer-Hall-Putsch et écoutez l'histoire d'une nuit tumultueuse où deux mille hommes, dirigés par Adolf Hitler, ont marché jusqu'au centre de Munich pour tenter de s'emparer du pouvoir. Passez devant l'église baroque Theatine, construite par l'électeur de Bavière, Ferdinand Maria et son épouse, en guise de remerciement pour la naissance de l'héritier tant attendu de la couronne de Bavière, le prince Max Emanuel. Vous verrez également Ludwigstrasse, une rue de style néo-classique, où se trouvent la Bibliothèque d’État, la plus ancienne université de Munich et la Porte de la Victoire. Retournez vers le centre-ville sur la place Max-Joseph et admirez la vue sur l'opéra, le théâtre national et le palais royal, la résidence, l'ancien palais des monarques bavarois et le plus grand palais d'Allemagne. Arrivée à la brasserie royale, la Hofbrauhaus créée en 1589 et considérée comme le vaisseau-mère de toutes les brasseries du monde. Visitez le Viktualienmarkt, un marché alimentaire public proposant des produits locaux frais.
