Au cours de cette visite, vous explorerez la porte de Brandebourg, les vestiges originaux du mur de Berlin, d'anciens sites du 3e Reich, de la Seconde Guerre mondiale et de la guerre froide et bien plus encore... Au cours de cette visite à pied éclairante de 3 heures, les superbes talents de narrateur de votre guide tissera les thèmes de la période nazie, de la guerre froide et du Berlin du XXIe siècle dans un récit détaillé. Après avoir traversé la porte de Brandebourg et vu le bâtiment du Reichstag (uniquement de l'extérieur), vous passerez devant le mémorial de l'Holocauste et découvrirez l'ancien site du bunker d'Hitler. Écoutez votre guide vous expliquer ce qui s'est passé ici à la fin de la guerre et pourquoi il ne reste plus rien à voir. Vous verrez ensuite comment le Berlin du XXIe siècle prend forme sur la Potsdamer Platz et découvrirez où se trouvaient les SS nazis et le QG de la Gestapo. Jetez un coup d'œil au mur de Berlin et suivez le "Death Strip" jusqu'à Checkpoint Charlie. Pendant que vous marchez, votre guide vous expliquera comment le mur a été construit, ainsi que les événements marquants de sa chute en 1989.

Harald took us on a 3 hour walking tour of Berlin. We visited many places linked to WW2 and the Cold War. He was a fantastic guide, very knowledgable and humorous. It was a great start to our 3 day trip to Berlin. I would thoroughly recommend him.

Harald provided a very knowledgeable and fun tour with a dash of light humor. We had a very exciting and impressive tour with Harald Zawuski. His knowledge of the history of the Wall was impressively detailed, illustrated with many before/after photos and at the same time wonderfully understandable. We particularly liked how he linked historical facts with personal stories, anecdotes and well-chosen background information. As a result, we got to know the city of Berlin in a completely different, deeper way. Despite the sometimes difficult subject matter, he managed to make the leadership varied, exciting and very sensitive. He responded to all our questions and adapted the tour to our pace and interests. We would recommend this tour and especially Mr. Zawuski without hesitation. Harald provided Doreen and i with a comprehensive explanation of the historical sites we visited. His broad knowledge gave us an excellent perspective of what has taken place in Berlin. His friendly nature made us feel very welcome. I have no hesitation in recommending Harald.
We thoroughly enjoyed Harald, our private guide for this tour. He integrated public memorials/historic displays as well his own collection of historic photographs to tell the story of Berlin's iconic monuments over the years. I found his photographs to be incredibly helpful to visualize former versions of the city and its buildings. My 17 yo son is a WWII buff and Harald engaged him in very intelligent and thoughtful conversations along our tour. Highly informative, professional and personable!
