Ru-An is the man. I was doing a solo trip and booked this winelands tour to get a taste of South African wine. I was particular about what I wanted included in the tour and Ru-an met and exceeded my expectations with his itinerary. Highly customized and personal experience, including an incredible lunch at VUUR. Ru-an maintains a very clean Audi sedan ensuring your transportation to and from the winelands is super smooth and comfortable. I will definitely be recommending him to others.

I had an incredible experience on this private luxury wine tour in Franschhoek. Ru-An was an outstanding guide from start to finish! He is extremely knowledgeable about the vineyards and the region, and you can tell he genuinely loves what he does. I came in with a custom itinerary, and he offered a few thoughtful suggestions that ended up making the day even better than I had planned. What really stood out to me was how personal the experience felt. By the end of the tour, it felt less like I had hired a guide and more like I had spent the day exploring with a friend. He also made the logistics completely seamless, including dropping me off at the airport afterward, which was such a nice touch. The pacing of the day was perfect. It is very easy to lose track of time in Franschhoek, but everything flowed effortlessly without ever feeling rushed. I cannot recommend this experience enough. A great, relaxed tour of the girgeous winelands. We booked via Ru-An's website initially for a tour of Constantia. Ru-An contacted me and asked what our preferences were, to which I said mainly the views and trying some decent wine. Ru-An suggested Stellenbosch which we switched to and we are so pleased we did. I think this is one of the advantages of booking with an individual rather than a larger tour, Ru-An really took into account what we wanted to do and see. We also had a desire to go to a specific estate for a picnic and RuAn adapted our itinerary for this. On the day, Ru-An was so friendly and relaxed, giving information where needed but also being just very chilled which we appreciated. He was prompt to collect us, all of the tastings were well organised and it was a great selection of vineyards that we wouldn't have found on our own! If you’re looking for a memorable day out in the wine region, I highly recommend booking this experience. Ru-An is an attentive host and made sure my dad and I had a great time. I appreciated that Ru-An contacted me prior to our trip to better understand our preferences. He tailor made an itinerary for us; each tour is unique. During the day Ru-An was able to strike a balance between giving us space and sharing info. I would highly recommend booking this tour if you want a more intimate experience than typical tour. Ru-an took us (a group of 3 friends) for one of the most unforgettable wine tours we’ve ever done. It was a full day tour and it was perfectly paced and personalized to our wine tastes and preferences. We had exceptional wine in very scenic commercial and boutique wine farms in Stellenbosch and Paarl, then ended the day with a bonus visit to Wijnhuis in Stellenbosch for sundowners. We had such a great time we engaged him again a few days later for a Cape Peninsula tour. The drive was breathtaking with beautiful mountain and ocean views. We also got to see penguins and have lunch at Cape Point Vineyards. Once again everything on the tour flowed effortlessly and we felt completely taken care of. The experiences were memorable and I would gladly book again without hesitation. Highly recommend!

Our wine tour was out of this world. Beautiful scenery, Ruan is very knowledgeable and wine was absolutely delicious. Thanks to Ruan for being our guide during our honeymoon.

This was our second wine tour with Ruan. He curated a perfect tour for us as we were keen to experience great wine accompanied with majestic views. He more than accomplished that for us as we visited 4 wineries from commercial wineries to boutique wineries. The views were simply awe inspiring. Lastly, we made a last stop in stellenbosch town at a fantastic wine bar. Highly recommend.

This is actually the second time that we are doing a wine tour with Ru-an. This time we did a customized tour to Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Ru-an is very polite, on time and very easy to talk to. We felt like we were in very good hands and truly enjoyed the wine farms he picked out for us. He took care of all the reservations and we basically could just sit back and enjoy. Had a lovely day visiting multiple wineries. I appreciated that Ru-an customized the tour to my tastes and we were able to still get in a nice variety. I highly recommend chatting with him ahead of time about your goals and what you like or don’t like - there are SO many options in the area. All in all, it was a lovely day and exactly what I wanted for my wine tour!
