We wanted to “see the tulips” but avoid the crowds of tour buses! Rudy delivered! He knew how to provide a “custom” countryside tour we will never forget. Clearly he is proud of his dutch heritage and his local knowledge is valuable for clients wanting privacy but seeing what makes the dutch countryside and its’ people so charming. We were lucky to find Rudy!
Thank you so much for your kind review. All the best, Rudy
We chose the customizable tour because, while we want to see the key sites, we also like to go off the beaten path. On this tour, we saw the windmills, including seeing how they make wooden clogs and touring the working saw(wind)mill, which was fascinating and included a nice discussion with one of the gentlemen who actually work the mill. We next visited a cheese farm and store, which was excellent, showing us how the cows live and are milked (by robots) and even getting to pet them, and then a cheese tasting, which was fabulous. We then visited two fishing villages, getting to one by ferry, which really shows us how locals live (and lived, historically). We capped it off by visiting a market in Amsterdam. Ramzy was an excellent driver and tour guide and created a really nice environment for our tour and made great suggestions about what we might enjoy doing. Communication with Rudi was excellent so we know exactly what to expect. Highly recommend!
Dear Mr/Mrs, thank you so much for your nice review. It is great to read you had such a nice day. I have send you review also to Ramzi. All the best, Rudy
Rudy took us through the country side and to a delightful cafe on the water. We customized our tour and Rudy listened to everything we said and met all expectations
Dear Yonna, thank you for this kind review. I hope you where able to find the flag for your boat..:) Have a great holiday! Kind regards, Rudy
This listing claims to offer a guided tour, but by "guided" they don't actually mean they'll provide you with someone who gives you information. They provided a driver. That was it. They also didn't provide an itinerary, and so despite me informing them that I had three particular places I wanted to go, they ended up only taking my group to two of them, which forced me to pay extra and find time I hadn't planned on the next day to get my group to the third location. They also make you purchase all of your own tickets, but don't provide information like the time of day to purchase a timed entry ticket, or the price for tickets that don't have to be purchased in advance. Also, they apparently had zero plans for us to have lunch during an 8 hour tour (they specifically used our request about stopping somewhere for lunch as an excuse for failing to provide the full outing I had booked). This is the most I've paid for a tour like this to get the least service I've ever been offered in any country I've visited.
Dear Jessica, I am sorry that you feel this way. We really strive to have all our clients experiencing a great day with us, and we regret that you obviously did not feel this way. All our tours are customizable and therefore all tickets and entrance fees are to be purchased separately of which you were most definitely informed before your booking. You were also informed which tickets that you did and which you do not need to buy in advance for your requested itinerary. So I am sorry to have to disagree, but it is simply not correct. The reason that you did not go to the 3rd place you requested was simply a time issue and was a choice made by you, not our guide. A considerable amount of time was spend at the flower gardens (which are beautiful, so that is understandable), after which you and your party wished to have lunch. As it is a customizable day tour, you decide how much time is spend where. You went to see the Flower gardens, had lunch in the Hague and then proceeded to Delft and visited the Delftware factory. When you asked for a refund of the tour taken with another party on the next day, there was no complaint whatsoever about your driver/ guide. Once we reclined your refund, this was a new complaint. I am glad you got to see the Zaanse Schans the following day, and I can assure you that there is still much more to see in the Netherlands. Even though it is a small country, you can not see all of it in one day.
