It’s a tourist machine. The wine / pisco tasting is well done. The food is fine, but you are paying double for a meal because you’re in a tourist trap. The desert was beautiful and I enjoyed that. Again, the activity is geared toward managing hundreds of people a day.
Dear Dan, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the desert experience, the sunset, and the wine and pisco tasting. It is wonderful to know that these elements of the day left a positive impression. We also appreciate your comments regarding the winery and restaurant experience. Unfortunately, this is one of the most visited destinations in the Ica region and attracts a very large number of visitors every day. As a result, some locations can occasionally feel busy and more commercial than guests might expect, particularly during peak periods. Regrettably, this is something that is largely beyond our control. That said, we would like to point out that while the winery visit and tasting are operated in a shared format by the vineyard itself, your Huacachina experience was arranged privately, including a two-hour dune buggy adventure, sandboarding, and sunset experience, allowing you to enjoy the desert at your own pace. We genuinely value your feedback, as it helps us better understand our guests' expectations and continue improving the experiences we offer. Thank you once again for travelling with JD Adventure Travel. We truly appreciate your visit and hope the rest of your journey through Peru was enjoyable and memorable. Kind regards, JD Adventure Travel
The place was beautiful beyond words. And our guide Jorge was very attentive. When he noticed one of us limping he provided a buggy in an alternative place, so we didn't need to go up the dunes. Wonderful
The experience although definitely tourist is to be done absolutely because you know a very interesting part of Peru (including me pisco tour). We travelled from Paracas with the very prepared and professional tour. Absolutely recommended
Our guide was exceptional. He was professional, kind and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our conversations and was touched by his thoughtfulness. We travel widely and for many years, we can say he is the best we had. We picked up fruit from a street vendor which we tasted for the first time. We enjoyed his historical narrative, myths about the oasis and recommendations for the rest of the trip. The lunch recommendations were spot on and he requested a special extra at the restaurant for my twins you turned 20. Overall a great day with an exceptional guide!!
We went with four people for a whole day to Ica / Huacachina. Jorge from Paracas picked us up at the hotel. He doesn't speak English well yet, but the communication worked. On the way out, we stopped at a plantation and had an employee explain how pisco is made there (including detailed tasting!). The highlight was the buggy tour in the dunes of Huacachina. Crazy good!!! Both activities Jorge had suggested and we did not regret them. We liked the tour with Jorge so much that we went with him the next day to a beach in the national park on the peninsula off Paracas. A day later we booked the boat tour to the Ballestos Islands through him. We felt very safe with Jorge. This was very important to us in the context of the unrest in Peru! That's why we let him drive us from Paracas back to Lima. He drives very smoothly and safely. Good choice!
We did a two-day excursion with the same agency and had a great time. Congratulations to Osvaldo who accompanied us to Ica da Paracas. All well organized. Interesting tour to the vineyards of Ica with tastings of Pisco. We recommend this agency for reliability and good value for money.
Perfect I recommend 1000%, listen to us to advise and us to help in addition to the excursion during our stay in paracas
Thank you for the review!! Paracas is nice place to visit and to relax.
Our tour guide never picked us up at Hotel Paracas for our private tour scheduled to depart 1pm today to Huacachina. We tried calling 3 different phone numbers to ask where they were, but nobody answered. We left messages trying to understand if they were running late, but nobody has called back. We biked to their office in Paracas after waiting one hour, but nobody was there to answer. We are afraid this was a scam, and they ask you to pre-pay. Unfortunately, it’s our last day in Paracas, so we can’t reschedule. My wife and I hope the company will read this and refund our payment or at least provide an explanation as to what happened.
Dear Ashleigh. I'm really sorry for this unfortunate issue, I had already explain to you by email. Your refund was granted via PayPal so you should had your money back into your PayPal account, It was something unexpected and because of this unexpected issue. my sincere apologies to you and partner. I hope you still had a great time visiting Peru and I wish all the best for you in future. Onca again my sincere appology to you. Kind regards Jose Doloriert
Manuel, our guide was awesome. We had a great time with him. The buggying and board surfing was amazing.

Fun tour filled with pisco tasting, chocolate buying and thrill ride on a dune buggy. Our tour guide was also our driver, he was nice, informational, and accommodating. My favorite part was the delicious pisco tasting. The chocolate stop was more just to buy, no real tasting or tour, but the prices were affordable and the chocolate is good. The last stop was a crazy, thrill ride in Ica. Would recommend this tour.
