Louxor ou Waset, comme on l'appelait dans l'Egypte ancienne ou même Thèbes à l'époque grecque, est l'un des sites du patrimoine mondial à visiter absolument. Il se situe à environ 280 km au sud-ouest d’Hurghada, dans la mer Rouge, ou à environ 4 heures de route. Une telle excursion privée est la meilleure option pour les adultes ou les couples. Vous serez pris en charge par votre charmant représentant de Egypt Tours à votre hôtel à Hurghada et conduisez à Luxor en véhicule de luxe climatisé pour visiter le célèbre temple de Karnak, le plus grand lieu de culte jamais construit. Son ancien nom, Ipet-isut, signifie «le lieu le plus sacré». Le temple, ou plus exactement l'ensemble de temples, a été construit il y a plus de deux mille ans, génération après génération, de pharaons. Dans le complexe, le grand «hypostyle hall» est une incroyable forêt de piliers géants. Ensuite, vous visiterez la rive ouest du Nil pour visiter les deux statues colossales d’Amenhotep III (Colosses de Memnon), puis vous visiterez la Vallée des Rois, où les magnifiques tombes ont été découvertes, ces tombes ont été creusées profondément le rocher du désert, richement décoré et rempli de trésors pour la vie des pharaons, vous visiterez 3 tombes. Plus tard, vous visiterez le temple d'Hatshepsut à El Deir El Bahary, cet impressionnant temple dédié à la reine Hatchepsout, la seule femme pharaon, surgit de la plaine désertique par une série de terrasses. Ensuite, vous aurez la chance de profiter de votre temps libre à Louxor pour faire du shopping dans les instituts de papyrus et dans les palais des parfums puis vous serez ramené à votre hôtel à Hurghada.

Tour operator did not show up. Waited over an hour and a half. No contact from the tour operator. Very disappointing. Been up since 4am.

He was really professional, patient (helping and waiting for us to take pictures everywhere) and a great energy. The guide was excellent as was the driver and I could not fault them. It was an amazing trip. Casper, the guide was excellent. Casper really knew his subject and did not rush at all. DO NOT go into the café place they stop at on route as they are a total rip-off. Because I was paying attention to my boys, I did not initially pick up on the fact that the café charge £30 for four drinks and for bars of chocolate. If it was not for this. I would have happily given them five stars. Apart from the café, I would be more than happy to book with them again.
On our summer holiday to Hurghada, we wanted to see something from Egypt. We chose Luxor to visit as it was less far then Caïro. With this trip you get picked up by a nice, airconditioned vehicle. We had a really amazing driver Achmed who picked us up at the resort at 5:30. He was such a kind person and made sure we had a good trip to Luxor, as he takes real good care of you! It takes 4 hours to get there. As we arrived, our tour guide Saïd was immediately ready to start. He was such a smart smart person and had so much knowledge. He could answer all of our questions and even though it was 43C degrees, he tried to make it as comfortable as possible. In fact, the whole trip was mesmerizing and mindblowing!
We had a great experience and trip to Luxor through this agency. We were picked up in front of our hotel in Hurghada early in the morning and driven to Luxor where we met with our tour guide at the Karnak Temple. We visited a series of historic sites on both sides of the river and also had a nice lunch and a short cruise on the Nile River. Some negatives: - No bottled water provided even though it was supposed to be included in the price. - Driver barely spoke any English. Overall very good value for the money. This package does not include the entrance fees but this is still a cheaper option than some of the other packages out there.
It took 5hrs from Hurghada to Luxor and 4hrs for the ride back. Though the ride was long, going to all the sites was worth it. Plus the tour guide was very knowledgeable and the drivers did their best to get us on time.
