Very good private Segway Tour into the Retiro Park of Madrid. Our guide was very knowledgable and multilingual. We had a great experience and a great ride
Thanks for your review, it's great! We're so glad you had a good time.
Rafael our guide was brilliant. He ensured we were suitably practiced before we navigated the streets on the way to the park. It was such fun and a great way to see the park. Cannot recommend highly enough - if you are thinking of something to do for 1.5 hours - do this!
Thanks, friend, for your great review; we love reading this. Yes, Rafa is a fantastic guide and instructor. Patient, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about history, touring the park on a Segway is a wonderful experience. Cheers
Fantastic way to see the park. We booked 1.5 hour trip. Good initial training followed by a fun ride through the streets down to the park. The segways were very good quality and easy to handle. The guide was such a nice man. Excellent value and thoroughly enjoyed. Definite 5 star experience
Thanks Paul, we're so glad to hear your Segway experience has been so rewarding, we're proud of you!
Superb Segway private tour in Retiro Park. Rafa was a brilliant guide. First time on a Segway, a little nervous but Rafa had me up and running in a few minutes. Great way to see the park as it's huge, as little or as much historical information as you wish. Places where my teenager could get up to max speed so all boxes ticked. So glad we did this, highly recommend, one of our highlights or Madrid.
Great! We love reading these reviews, mission accomplished. We had a great time with you all. Rafa is a true professional. Thank you
Very fun tour! Rafa was a great guide and knew a lot. Never had ridden a Segway before and they were great teachers to get us comfortable on it.
Thanks for your review! Yes, the Segway tour is great fun, and the instructors in general, and Rafa in particular, are very knowledgeable about Madrid and its history. We're glad to hear you enjoyed it!
Rafael was a great tour guide and very helpful. We had lots of fun.🤩
Fantastic, what a great read! Fun and educational. Segway and Rafa. Thanks
The tour is interesting and very fun, it is easy to learn how to use a Segway, then one does not want to leave it.
Gracias por tu reseña Hector, el Segway es adictivo :-)
It was our first Segway experience, and we absolutely loved it. Jaime patiently explained how to use the devices and gave us enough time to practice before we headed to the park. It was fun and a great way to enjoy the park! Much easier than we expected!
Thanks Irina, it's great to hear your opinion, and even better when it's positive. The Segway tour is a lot of fun, and Jaime is very knowledgeable about history and Madrid—a great team!
Be very careful booking this tour with kids. The listing states a “recommended” weight range, but in our experience it was enforced as a strict requirement. Our 10-year-old did not meet the recommended weight and was denied participation upon arrival. We were not offered any alternative, and despite being unable to participate at all, we were not refunded. On-site, we were told to contact Viator regarding the refund, while Viator later indicated the operator controlled that decision. The lack of clarity and accountability was extremely frustrating. If there is truly a minimum weight requirement, it should be clearly stated as mandatory—not described as “recommended.” As written, the listing is misleading and puts families at risk of paying for an experience they may not be allowed to join. We’ve booked many tours without issue, which made this experience particularly disappointing.
Hi Jennifer, it's unbelievable that we have to be the ones responsible for your daughter's safety. We have a long track record as a... We understand your disappointment. When you read something and interpret it to suit your own interests, you can't blame the operator. All the booking pages clearly state the minimum age and weight requirements. The age is a regulation, and I doubt your daughter was 10 years old, while the weight requirement is for safety. You even mentioned it in your booking: "We'll stop by the shop to try the girl out because of her weight to see if she can do it." They didn't stop, and before the tour, the girl got on, and the Segway took her wherever it wanted. The girl wasn't able to control it; that's called safety. I don't think you've had any other Segway experience. It's impossible for a girl of that weight to handle the equipment; she would have crashed within 5 meters, as we saw. You have a prior reservation, occupying a slot that another customer can't use. They booked through Viator, which clearly states the terms and conditions, and they're the ones who charged, not us. Viator says they don't refund money if the booking is made less than 24 hours in advance, so you're blaming us for your mistake. The Segways were booked, the guide was waiting, and you're blaming the operator. In short, you didn't read the safety conditions, you didn't read the terms and conditions, and you're blaming the operator.
