De ses humbles débuts il y a 2000 ans en tant que port de pêche inoffensif à son statut international moderne, explorez la croissance de la ville depuis la consolidation romaine, la persécution chrétienne et juive, l'expansion impériale, l'explosion industrielle, l'identité politique, l'épanouissement artistique. fantômes de martyrs chrétiens, peintres emblématiques, combattants, légendes religieuses, rois chasseurs de gloire, bourreaux médiévaux et bien d'autres, qui ont tous laissé une marque culturelle et physique dans les rues étroites et venteuses de cette partie la plus ancienne de Barcelone . Un guide anglophone natif vivant dans la ville depuis 13 ans, avec une épouse espagnole avec beaucoup d'amis de longue date à Barcelone, j'ai beaucoup d'informations de première main sur ce qui se cache au sein du peuple catalan, comment ce qui le fait "cocher", et plus encore surtout, pourquoi ! Et en tant qu'acteur professionnel, je donnerai vie aux histoires, à l'humour, aux triomphes, aux catastrophes qui touchent l'âme du peuple catalan. Oh ouais, nous rencontrerons aussi un CATALAN TRÈS POILEUX !!

Extensive and in-depth tour of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. Patrick, our tour guide, provided interesting information about how Barcelona became a major port city. LOTS of walking, but worth it.

This was a great tour if you want to get an up close and personal view of Barcelona’s old city. Patrick Taggart was a great guide as he had institutional knowledge of the Gothic Quarter and surrounding areas. He was personable and very knowledgeable.

Patrick was an outstanding tour guide! He took my kids and me on a 2.5-hour walking tour of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. He struck the perfect balance between being informative and entertaining, sharing fascinating historical stories with plenty of humor that kept both the adults and the kids engaged the entire time. Patrick chose the most interesting and worthwhile stops, making sure we saw the places that were most relevant and meaningful without ever feeling rushed. Patrick was an excellent tour guide. He was knowledgeable about the history of the Gothic Quarter as well as the Catalan culture. He was very personable and gave us helpful tips to make our stay more enjoyable. I highly recommend Patrick as a tour guide.

Barcelona history
Absolutely enjoyed our 2 1/2 hour private tour of the Old Gothic City with Patrick. His historical knowledge and stories were so fascinating. We came away knowing so much more about the history of Barcelona. Highly recommended.
