Borobudur est le plus grand temple bouddhiste du monde. Ce temple bouddhiste Mahayana du IXe siècle situé dans le centre de Java, en Indonésie, se distingue pour plusieurs raisons. Construit en pierre grise semblable à de l'andésite, il comporte neuf plates-formes empilées, six carrées et trois circulaires couronnées d'un dôme central. Le temple est orné d'un nombre impressionnant de 2 672 panneaux en relief et abritait à l'origine 504 statues de Bouddha. En explorant son vaste système d'escaliers et de couloirs, vous découvrirez 1 460 panneaux narratifs en relief qui décrivent les enseignements et la vie du Bouddha.
(Facultatif) Visitez le mont Merapi, qui est le deuxième volcan le plus actif au monde. Nous visiterons un musée local qui présente les vestiges de l'éruption de 2010, la plus grande éruption depuis 1872. De plus, nous verrons un rocher géant formé par l'éruption qui ressemble à un visage humain, que nous appelons la « pierre extraterrestre ». Il y a bien plus à voir également
Vous visiterez et verrez le temple de Prambanan, l'un des sites du patrimoine en Indonésie en tant que temple hindou le plus haut et le plus beau temple d'Indonésie. We had an excellent service provided today. We had a custom tour starting from Borobudur at 4am, Sethumbu lookout, then to 2 other temples in the area, Merapi Jeep ride, Prambanan and dropping us at our Yogyakarta hotel. Our driver Joko was excellent, safe and was good company through the tour and arranged the time well and took us to an excellent restaurant near Prambanan. I would recommend them without any doubt! You will be in safe hands with these guys.

We had an amazing experience with Joko as our driver. He took us to the Royal Ballet, and the highlight of our trip was definitely Borobudur Sunrise via Manohara. It was absolutely incredible, a small group experience with a knowledgeable guide who led us to the best spot on Borobudur Temple for sunrise. He explained the history and meaning behind each level of the temple, and even helped us capture some great photos. Afterwards, we enjoyed an unforgettable breakfast buffet on Nagi Hill, overlooking the temple. The view was breathtaking, it really put into perspective the vast scale and beauty of Borobudur. Later, Joko drove us to Prambanan Temple, about an hour and a half away. He’s a very safe and considerate driver, and his car was so comfortable that we managed to have a quick nap along the way. Once we arrived, he helped us purchase tickets and made sure we were all set with a local guide. The guide was excellent, full of knowledge about the stonework, restoration process, and the temple’s rich history. This was truly an unforgettable experience, and we couldn’t recommend Joko enough. If you book a tour with him, you’re guaranteed a magical time. Oh, and you can’t miss his car, a distinctive Chevy that stands out among the crowd of Toyotas!
