we had an excellent tour this evening with our guide Lvette, you made the experience. She was so knowledgeable about the history of the art and seemed to knowthe Louvre like the back of her hand. The museum was less crowded in the evening, which was a big bonus. We did a private tour and would absolutely do it again. We were only able to cover a portion of the museum in two hours, but it was well worth it.
Glad you enjoyed your tour fully ! Best greetings from Paris!
Vincent was wonderful. His knowledge of the museum and art was outstanding. I can’t say anything negative about him. Thank you for a nice tour.
Thanks Suzanne for your kind words. Was a real pleasure giving you the tour.
Very informative and fun experience. Claudia really knows how to break down the Louvre to make it feel less overwhelming for a first time visit.
Touring the Louvre in the evening was spectacular and made even better by our guide Claudia. She was so knowledgeable and seeing the exhibits with her commentary made it extra special.
Fantastic ! Glad you enjoyed it.
Definitely get a guide for the Louvre, otherwise it’s easy to get lost and overwhelmed. Ivette was excellent, she got us in quickly, took us to all the highlights: Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, Wedding at Canna, etc. and offered a ton of background and reference. Definitely recommend! Private tour is pricey but well worth it.
We went on the 6:00 p.m. tour which was amazing. The place wasn’t crowded at all so we were able to enjoy the exhibits and get lots of beautiful photos. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Very happy you enjoyed your private tour! Thanks a lot for your visit. Vincent
Liked the later time as not as crowded. Our guide was knowledgeable and very good at getting us close to the exhibits. I would have eliminated a couple of the exhibits but overall it was an excellent way to get an overview of the Louvre as first time visitors and in a short time.
Thanks a lot for your visit with us! Vincent
The Louvre is an immense museum and is difficult to grasp without the expertise of an experienced guide. Yvette provided an excellent introduction and escorted through the history of the museum as well as the artistic treasures in reasonable time period for older travelers.
That is great. Ivette is such a wonderful person and passionate guide. Glad you appreciated fully your time with her.
Louvre by Night Private Tour for 2 started off very stressfully as my husband and I were at the pinned location to meet the guide 45 mins in advance of our start time and still had issues locating our guide. The tour providers office was closed when we tried to call for assistance, and TripAdvisor online support wasn’t responsive. Luckily our guide called directly albeit 20 mins late and we were able to connect and complete our visit. There was another family of 4 at the same meet/greet location supposed to meet a guide from same company having same issue. Each time any of us would click “get directions” to the meeting point, the pin drop would move slightly on the map and wasn’t consistent. Ended up costing us 30+ minutes of our visit time to sort it out, but had the potential to cost us the entire experience as this was booked as a night tour on our last day of vacation in Paris. I would suggest more proactive customer service in terms of confirming meet points for guide as a physical location (left side of arch, etc) versus pin drop coordinates to prevent confusion and stress. Once on the tour our guide provided a very personal and interactive experience covering the highlights of the exhibits and even dipped into a few of the temporary exhibits to highlight points of interest in those as well. Our guide was knowledgeable and polite and adjusted the course of our visit in the museum based on our areas of interest as much as possible and was very accommodating. Per the advertisement for the night tour we had the impression that the museum would be less crowded and you’d have a more relaxed tour of the museum exhibits - that was not the case. While our guide did an amazing job of hitting the highlights in all the various areas, there was still a lot of people in the museum and the tour still felt very fast paced and rushed. Had I known it would still be that crowded we probably would’ve just scheduled standard admission and spent the whole day there versus doing the private tour.
hello and thanks for your feedback. The meeting place of this tour is well specified on the tour description. Foot of the Arch of Carrousel at the Louvre. Where guide is waiting with a sign. Best greetings, Vincent
Excellent tour of the highlights of the Louvre in 3 hours. The only thing I would suggest is a better meeting point as we spent about 15 minutes wandering around the Arc de Triomphe carousel trying to find the guide. Otherwise I highly recommend this tour.
