Ils comprennent des peintures de Rembrandt, Cranach, Vermeer, Raphael et Caravaggio, des sculptures de Canova, Gianbologna ainsi que des œuvres d'artistes grecs et romains antiques. Et vous n'avez pas besoin d'experts pour apprécier leurs œuvres. Cette visite du musée s'adresse à ceux qui apprécient à la fois un plaisir esthétique et intellectuel. Nous parcourirons toutes les collections de l'un des meilleurs musées d'art au monde et examinerons les chefs-d'œuvre sous différents angles pour comprendre pourquoi cette œuvre particulière, et non la voisine, a figuré sur la liste restreinte des objets incontournables. Pour ce faire, nous suivrons la liste des expositions les plus précieuses du musée et je ne vous raconterai pas seulement leurs histoires et caractéristiques officielles, mais je vous expliquerai également comment les artistes ont utilisé notre cognition et notre auto-promotion intelligente. Nous discuterons également de l'inconstance de la renommée du monde et du rôle de l'esprit et du goût du temps. Le «temple de l’art» est l’expression qui décrit le mieux le musée de l’histoire de l’art à Vienne. Même son architecture conçue dans les meilleures traditions de l'historicisme combine les détails des temples des trois cultures occidentales clés. C'est ici que vous trouverez tous les dieux et héros de l'Olympe de l'art d'Europe occidentale, tels que Arcimboldo, Brueghel, Velasquez, Holbein, Dürer, Giorgione, Cranach, Raphaël, Rembrandt, Rubens, Titian (classés par ordre alphabétique). Comme tout musée occidental se proclamant universel, le Kunsthistorisches Museum présente également des collections d'art égyptien, grec et romain, ainsi qu'un cabinet numismatique. De plus, un quart de l'espace d'exposition du musée est occupé par les cabinets de curiosités, une exposition mixte de sculptures d'intérieur, d'assiettes d'église, d'éléments de décoration et d'instruments scientifiques; dans l’ensemble, tout est considéré comme unique et d’une valeur particulière. Les conservateurs du musée ont établi une liste informative à l’intention des visiteurs; comprenant 700 chefs-d'œuvre pour les amateurs d'art local, 100 pour les visiteurs récurrents et 35 incontournables pour les débutants. Avec cette tournée artistique, nous suivons la liste des conservateurs et examinons de très près les chefs-d’œuvre mondialement célèbres, sous différents angles, pour comprendre en quoi chaque œuvre est si spéciale.

It was really a treat to be guided by a true art expert around this very diverse and excellent art museum. We loved every minute of our time with Julia and learned so much about so many aspects of art and artists through the ages. We particularly enjoyed the automaton exhibit and Julia's deep dive into Bruegel's work. This is certainly the best way to see the Kunsthistorisches Museum because there is much to see and take in. When we booked this tour, we thought it would be a nice way to see the highlights of a large art museum on a private tour. It so exceeded our expectations! The tour guide Julia (or Julie) had complete command of the knowledge of art history, the painters/sculptors' biographies, the socio-economic backdrop of the 16th-19th centuries. She could also add humors and anecdotes to make her story-telling fun to listen. She is the perfect guide for this tour.
