Après votre prise en charge à votre hôtel, nous nous dirigerons vers le Jardin Botanique fondé en 1808, sa collection contient 9000 échantillons de 1500 espèces. La JBRJ est célèbre pour l'exubérance et l'importance scientifique de ses collections végétales, ainsi que pour la beauté de ses paysages. Son histoire bicentenaire s'exprime dans ses monuments, édifices et œuvres d'art. Après avoir visité les jardins botaniques, nous nous dirigerons vers le Parque Lage, issu d'un ancien moulin à sucre, le parc fait partie de la mémoire historique de la ville. Conçu en 1840 par le paysagiste anglais John Tyndale, le magnifique jardin romantique de style européen partage la vedette avec la forêt atlantique indigène. A noter également les palmiers impériaux, les lacs artificiels et les îles, en plus des grottes disséminées dans le parc et des aquariums encastrés dans les murs avec divers poissons. The gardens are not small. Be prepared to walk and learn some fascinating facts about the history of Brazil. She also helped us decide on lunch and dinner for the next few days from the perspective of a local. 10/10

This is actually the second experience I booked with Renata. I did the Christ the Redeemer with her last year and knew when I got back to Rio that I'd need more photos. I contacted her and asked her to do the Parque Lage and Botanical garden tour WITH the Selaron steps and she accommodated me. The photos are stunning! But more than that, she knew the history around each place and was great company. I feel super comfortable with her and will likely be doing more photo tours with her on future trips to Rio. Renata is phenomenal!!!!! She is extremely professional with an awesome sense of humour and is extremely knowledgeable! My husband and I enjoyed touring Parque Lage and the botanical gardens with her and she provided us with beautiful pictures after. It felt like a friend was taking you around Rio and making sure you have gorgeous pictures also. Highly recommend Renata!!!! She picks you up from your hotel making it an extremely low stress activity.

The Botanical Gardens and Lage Park are a must for anyone visiting Rio. We were very impressed by the natural beauty existing in the heart of the city and will never forget the superb flora and astonishing wild life (monkeys, tucans, turtles and many more).
