Luiz our guide was wonderful! He was knowledgeable, personal and a great resource for all things Louie Valley and French wine.
Thank you Patricia very much for your review. Merci beaucoup
What an amazing day we spent with Luiz touring the vineyards of Sancerre including a delicious traditional lunch in the small town. Luiz has a passion for wine & tremendous knowledge he shared with us. The unforgettable day was topped off with a special visit to a local goat farm where we sampled & purchased the best goat cheese! Bravo Luiz! We would highly recommend this experience!
Hi Amanda, Thank you so much for your review. The cheese from Sancerre is one of the best goat cheese in the world. Cheers, Luiz
What a fab way to end our Paris trip! Our host was fascinating and so knowledgeable. Fun at 2 wineries, goat cheese farm, and lunch. Highly recommend!
Hi Leslie, Thank you for your kind words. I was pleased to meet you. Cheers 🥂 🧀 🇫🇷
The tour was AMAZING! Our guides (Louis and Leo) were so informative and fun! We went to 2 wineries and a cheese farm, everything was fantastic! Definitely a highlight of our trip to Paris! We bought so many bottles of wine that we had to ship them back to the USA! THANK YOU! <3
Our group of 6 travelled to Sancerre and the Loire Valley with Luiz in July. It was a fun and informative experience with stops at two wineries, a tasting room and a goat cheese farm. Luiz did a fantastic job and we thoroughly enjoyed the day. The stop on a hillside in the Loire Valley where we sampled wine and goat cheese was a highlight of our trip! We would definitely recommend Luiz for a wine tour out of Paris.
When planning our trip to Paris, my husband and I knew we wanted to see the countryside and experience a wine region and this was a fantastic way to do it. The meeting point in Paris was convenient and the 2-hour van ride was very comfortable. Luiz was an excellent host - very friendly and approachable, with great knowledge about the areas we visited and the wines & cheeses we tasted. We had great service at each of our stops as well, thanks to Luiz’s planning and connections in the area. Given the small group size, the entire day felt very personal. I would highly recommend booking a day trip with Luiz during a visit to Paris!
Luiz was a wonderful guide to the wine country of the Loire Valley. He is extremely knowledgeable, and put together a very interesting day. We had a chance to stroll through the village of Sancerre, visited three wineries, and had lunch at a very charming little restaurant. We also visited a cheese farm (goats!). When we come back to France, we plan to do another tour with Luiz.
What a fantastic day we had with the delightful Luis Batistello our certified sommelier. I wanted to leave Paris to see the countryside and go wine tasting. The trip was booked. We met Luis in the morning and off we went to beautiful Sancerre, known for their Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir. It was clear that Luis knew his wines and also evident that the wine makers were happy to see him. We visited both the Mellot wineries and enjoyed our lunch there in the quaint medieval village. Then off we went to the winery of Daniel Crochet and enjoyed their fine wines hosted by Madame Crochet. The final stop was a goat cheese farm where we tasted three different stages of the goat cheese. It was a special treat. If your looking for something different and enjoy wine, book with Luis! Crystal
I did this trip with a group of 4 friends in January--definitely the off-season for this region. The day was fantastic--start to finish. Luiz was knowledgeable, fun, and well-connected to the Sancerre region. We tasted wine at two different wineries and a store in the town of Sancerre itself--about 26 wines tasted in all over the course of the day. I would definitely book another tour with him on a future tour.
