Si vous n'avez pas beaucoup de temps à Sai Gon, pourquoi ne pas aller ensemble aux tunnels de Cu Chi et au delta du Mékong ? C'est le meilleur itinéraire pour explorer 2 lieux célèbres du sud du Vietnam. Le meilleur circuit combiné part de Saigon : le fleuve Mékong et les tunnels de Cu Chi en 1 jour seulement. Revenez ensuite à votre hôtel vers 17h30 - 18h00.

7h00 Notre guide vous attendra dans le hall de l'hôtel puis nous conduisons 1h30 au nord-ouest de Saigon, à travers la campagne du sud jusqu'aux légendaires tunnels de Cu Chi. S'étendant de Saigon jusqu'à la frontière Vietnam-Cambodge, le réseau comprend d'innombrables trappes, des zones d'habitation enchevêtrées, des installations de stockage et des usines d'armes, des mini-hôpitaux militaires, des centres de commandement et même des cuisines. Au cours de cette visite, vous explorerez la vie d'un soldat vietnamien sous terre.
- S'étendant sur 200 km, ce réseau de tunnels creusés à la main reliait abris, postes, hôpitaux et bunkers d'armes… Vous pourrez vous promener dans les environs et découvrir la vie des VC, affronter les entrées savamment déguisées et les pièges élaborés. Ensuite, le mini-van conduira environ deux heures pour atteindre la région du Mékong.
- Déjeunez dans un restaurant local en route vers le Mékong. - Après le déjeuner, quittez la grande ville derrière vous alors que le paysage est progressivement remplacé par des rizières et des villages ruraux sur votre route vers My Tho. - Ensuite, le voyage commencera par prendre de petits bateaux et naviguer sur la rivière pour visiter une usine de noix de coco afin d'apprendre comment fabriquer des bonbons à la noix de coco ici et déguster des produits locaux. Ensuite, vous aurez l'occasion de parcourir le village en calèche et de déguster des fruits tropicaux.
- Après cela, l'incroyable excursion en bateau à rames sur le petit canal du village de Tan Thach à Ben Tre est une activité à ne pas manquer. Un autre îlot de ce voyage vous amènera à une petite ferme apicole pour déguster du thé au miel et d'autres produits locaux. Revenez ensuite à votre hôtel vers 17h30 - 18h00.

Great private tour done with Lee and driver who took us safely everywhere. In the morning we went to the tunnels. In the car Lee told us all about the war history, not only from the books but also from his father. We arrived before the big crowds and the visit was very impressive. The second part of the day was slightly modified at our request; for example a Vietnamese and Buddhist temple (where monks also live) were added and horse and cart ride changed to tuk tuk. We skipped the honey where many tours stop. Lee had arranged a private boat that took us in the Mekong to several stops. All in all had a really great day. A private tour may be a bit more expensive but we really liked it. We booked Lee through tours with locals.

A great day out. Penny was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable about the tunnels and the history of the Vietnamese war. We learnt so much from her. It is a long day so be prepared for that. We also want to say how great the driver was.
Penny is an absolutely fantastic tour guide. She is extremely knowledgeable and completely made the trip for us. Her English is exceptional. Apart from seeing the the Cu Chi Tunnels, which was quite an eye opening experience, we had a lovely trip along the Mekong Delta, stopping for lunch and going to a couple of small islands which was really interesting. All in all a great day.
