Notre excursion d'une demi-journée la plus populaire vous emmène de l'autre côté de la rivière Chao Phraya à Bang Krachao, une nature sauvage luxuriante de cocotiers et de bananiers géants qui sent les mondes loin de la chaleur de la ville. Faits saillants de la tournée : La jungle verte : Naviguez dans des sentiers surélevés à travers une épaisse végétation tropicale et des arrière-rues cachées où les voitures ne peuvent pas accéder. Culture ancienne : Visitez Wat Bang Krasop, un temple serein vieux de 700 ans, et apercevez la vie locale dans une école du quartier. Muay Thai & Nature : Visitez une salle de boxe locale pour en apprendre davantage sur le sport national de Thaïlande avant de vous détendre dans le magnifique parc Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan. Saveurs authentiques : Faites le plein d'énergie avec un délicieux repas traditionnel thaïlandais dans un endroit du quartier local (options végétariennes disponibles). Parfait pour tous les âges! Le rythme est détendu avec de nombreuses pauses pour les photos et les boissons. Venez voir du côté de Bangkok que la plupart des voyageurs ratent!

Nous traversons la rivière Chao Praya sous cet immense pont pour arriver de l'autre côté de la rivière et nous amène au poumon vert de Bangkok
Comme toutes les rivières urbaines, l’histoire du Chao Phraya est étroitement liée à celle de la ville qu’elle traverse. Le site original a été choisi par les premiers colons en raison de sa fertilité et de son poisson abondant. Plus tard, le roi Taksin, après la chute d’Ayutthaya aux Birmans, y installa sa nouvelle capitale, sur les rives occidentales connues actuellement sous le nom de Thonburi. En 1782, le roi Rama I, trouvant les rives orientales plus favorables, fonda Bangkok moderne et célébra l'occasion en construisant certains des temples les plus fascinants du monde. Plus tard, les canaux qu’il alimente sont devenus célèbres et ont valu à Bangkok l’épithète de «Venise de l’Est». Et, entre temps, d'éminents auteurs occidentaux tels que Maugham, Conrad et Coward ont désigné le Chao Phraya comme l'un de leurs endroits préférés en Extrême-Orient. Nous traverserons cette rivière deux fois en bateau à longue queue.
Voici la jetée que nous arrivons à Bangkrachao, ou le poumon vert de Bangkok.
L'île de Bang Krachao est une oasis de verdure en plein cœur de Bangkok. Cette jungle urbaine est en fait visible depuis les étages supérieurs de nombreux immeubles le long de Sukhumvit Road, Sathorn Road et Narathiwat Road, cependant, elle reste inconnue de la plupart des voyageurs. Bang Krachao n'a rien à voir avec le paradis tropical de Koh Lipe ou Koh Kood. Cependant, il est unique et étonnant en soi. Bang Krachao est en fait une île artificielle située dans la rivière Chao Praya. Il y a des années, un canal a été creusé permettant aux cargos de raccourcir leur voyage le long de la rivière. Bang Krachao est communément appelé le "poumon de Bangkok", cela est dû à l'énorme quantité d'arbres qui dévorent la pollution de l'air de la ville. Il y a des milliers de palétuviers autour du périmètre de l'île et beaucoup plus de jungle dans l'île elle-même. Dans une ville en développement rapide, Bang Krachao est un endroit qui a réussi à résister au changement. Alors, mieux vaut y aller avant qu'il ne soit trop tard !
Bien que nous ne nous arrêtions absolument pas à tous les temples que nous passons, certains temples / sites touristiques s'arrêtent et ne sont pas mentionnés dans la liste des "attractions" de la région. Nous nous arrêterons à une statue / temple hindou local, prendrons un repas dans un restaurant local et bien plus encore. Laissez-nous vous surprendre
Le parc et jardin botanique Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan est situé dans le sous-district de Bang Kachao, dans la province de Samut Prakan, et couvre une superficie de plus de 200 Rai. Cet endroit a été créé pour être la source de production d'air frais, le parc public pour se détendre et faire de l'exercice pour les gens. C'est aussi un lieu d'éducation écosystémique sur les espèces de plantes et les animaux, à la fois localement et dans les environs. C’est donc une oasis pour les citadins qui souhaitent découvrir la nature, le mode de vie local et échapper au chaos de Bangkok. La caractéristique du jardin est une combinaison de parcs publics dont le paysage a été magnifiquement aménagé. Il se compose de plantes aquatiques, de plantes locales capables de pousser dans des eaux saumâtres et de préserver le jardin agricole d'origine qui était le jardin fruitier d'origine. Ce parc et jardin botanique est un Greenfield que le gouvernement a déclaré être «le poumon de Bangkok». Un pont en bois permet aux visiteurs de flâner dans un quartier paisible et ombragé, notamment la surface. Outre le jardin botanique, le marché flottant de Bang Nam Phueng est ouvert tous les samedis et dimanches (nous le visitons lors de notre édition du week-end).

This tour was excellent and I would recommend to anyone visiting Bangkok - especially for people who have already seen the main attractions. Our guide Pike was brilliant and so knowledgeable, we really learnt a lot about Thai culture despite having been to Thailand many times. We really enjoyed visiting a temple without any other tourists, the kids loved the Thai boxing, it was interesting to see the rural areas we passed and we enjoyed a delicious lunch at the end. The day started so well: certainly, early rise for a departure at 7:30, but general enthusiasm of the 3 children for a green ride in Bangkok. What a disappointment!!! Here we go on poorly maintained bikes (speeds do not pass), with, to start, a good 15 minutes on an ULTRA busy road with trucks and scooters that brush us. It is difficult to reach the entrance of what seems to me to be paradise: the “urban jungle”, the “forest”. A huge scam! Terribly narrow paths, sometimes with a ditch of more than two meters and a road almost impassable on bicycles that are absolutely unhandling, very poorly maintained (speeds... decorative since they do not pass). The journey is ENDLESS to reach a fish observation point (we feed fish, so...) then a bird observation tower where Americans scream at the top of their heads so not a bird in sight. We are shown trees (we don’t hold anything back, especially since the roads are then either so narrow that we have to go down to turn, or roads by cars and trucks – so we focus on staying alive, and we clearly don’t look at the trees.) The ordeal continues: visit a temple in Ganesh, stop at a pseudo-Thai boxing school (a champion who won a tournament 40 years ago amuses the gallery, clearly a tourist catch), another temple, a local market... it’s endless, it’s terrible heat, we want it to stop! We finish with 20 minutes of cycling in full sun at 1pm on the road!!! If I had known, I would have stayed in Bangkok instead of giving in to this pseudo green trick. I bitterly regret this excursion: we finally returned at 3pm to the hotel, day totally shot for no advantage. You should absolutely avoid.
Dear Helene, Thanks for taking time to comment on every platform you can find. Translating your review to English I understand you assumed you've booked a walking tour instead of a bicycle tour. During the ride it appeared you weren't used to any traffic. Our guide did try to set the tour to your liking as much as possible. At least your family-members enjoyed the ride and the THB 500 tip you gave to the guide is actually the opposite of your review. I feel sorry you booked something and was obviously misinformed by the agent that sold you the trip. Hope you will enjoy the rest of your stay in Thailand.. Kind regards, Andre Breuer
For a second time we have choosen the colours of Bangkok by bike. And we were not disappointed, despite the very hot temperatures. Bas, our guide, did an excellent job, we felt anytime safe and enriched by his explanations. In addition to that we appreciated the tasting of several local products on a very nice, local market. The lunch was generous and authentic local food: excellent as well as the location!
