Description

This was a fantastic tour. The Krka waterfalls are so beautiful, I just wish that the camera really captured the beauty. Taking the boat up to the base of the falls is recommended as it really allows you to enjoy the experience. We also took some time to enjoy historic town of Skradin. The wine tasting experience was definitely an added bonus giving us a glimpse into the local culture. I can't say enough good things about Igor as a tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about the subject matter and gives the tour a great, light-hearted vibe.
This was an amazing experience. Our tour guide, Igor, was such a pleasure and very knowledgeable. From the time he picked us up at our hotel until we returned, Igor offered us insights into the history and culture of Croatia and the beautiful Krka Waterfalls. He selected a wonderful small family-owned winery for our tasting, Rak, and they went above and beyond with their wine selections and food. Hands down one of the best tours!
If you visit the Sibenik region of Croatia, I would highly recommend visiting the Krka waterfalls. This is one of the most special natural wonders in the world. And if you go, I would highly recommend Igor and the Private Krka Waterfalls Tour with Wine Tasting. Igor did an incredible job personalizing the tour to our wishes so we were able to spend time at both the waterfalls as well as a very special and personal wine tasting experience. How many times do you sit outdoors at the winery with the actual winemaker speaking to you about each pour. I would also mention that the car was roomy and comfortable. Igor was such a safe and capable driver and tour operator. We never felt rushed or hurried during our tour. Thank you!
The day was amazing from the start. We wanted to see the national park. It was even more beautiful than we expected. We were on a cruise ship stopping in Šibenik and made arrangements for a private tour for 4 in advance through email. Igor was at the port when we arrived. Igor showed us more than we could have imagined. Not only did we see the spectacular waterfalls, but we learned about the history, culture, flora and fauna of the park and of Dalmatia. Igor is very knowledgeable and explains everything in a great way. We saw the countryside, stopped for stunning photos and enjoyed a tour of Skradin. We could not have asked for a better day. But there was more. We had beautiful wine and bites at the Rak wine estate and got to learn about winemaking from a third generation winemaker. It was beautiful, fascinating and delicious. I highly recommend touring this beautiful region with Šibenik Tours.
We had an amazing day with Igor touring the town of Sibenik, walking the waterfalls route (which was beautiful!) and then boat ride, and then a lovely wine tasting. We felt we maximized our time and got to have a unique personalized tour of the area. There's no way we could have seen all this on our own being in port for a limited time, and I know we had a much more tailored experience than a ship excursion. Our family enjoyed talking with Igor and can highly recommend booking with him!
The Krka waterfalls are truly one of the wonders of Croatia and my partner and I were so thrilled that we had Igor to show us them in all their splendor. As a local, Igor is filled with knowledge and thoughtfulness that make the waterfalls all the more special! He is able to illicit the importance and history of the waterfalls to the local people with such passion, that you just wouldn't get from a typical tour guide, responsible for a much larger group of people. We also had the pleasure of Igor showing us around Sîbenik as well and we wouldn't want anyone else showing us the wonders of Dalmatia. He is also blessed with terrific photography skills and knows all the off-road sections of the falls where you can grab great photos. He also took us to the fabulous Rak Winery, where he knows the owner personally and we were able to sample some terrific wines and fabulous local prsut and cheeses. We are very grateful to Igor for making our holiday to Croatia so special.
We had a perfect day with Igor. First we were picked up at our ship and taken to the Krka National Park. Igor was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about all we saw. The falls are gorgeous and should not be missed. We took a short boat ride to the quaint town of Skradin. There we met Maria who creates and sells her own herbal “medicinal” drinks. The drinks did taste very healthy. Finally we went to the Rac Family Winery, a small winery that produces some very good wines. Igor is the best guide in Shibenik hands down. We will always call Igor whenever we are in town.
We had a perfect day with Igor. We were picked up from our ship and taken to Krka National Park. Igor was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all we saw. The falls are gorgeous and should not be missed. Igor used the exhibits in the park to explain how the Dalmatian people live. We took a boat tour to a quaint town called Skradin where we met Maria who creates and sells her own herbal drinks. We ended our tour at the Roc Winery, a small family owned winery, for a fun filled wine tasting that included local delicacies including the best prosciutto I have ever tasted. The wine was wonderful. We were back on the ship before all call. Best day we have had on this trip!
It was wonderful visiting Krka Waterfalls again 5 years after our first visit. This time we visited with our guide Igor. He showed us around Skradin before we took the boat to the waterfalls. We walked up narrow streets, and even had some of the locals "breakfast" Grappa with alcohol and herbs along with dried figs. I am sure that helped keep us healthy while traveling!!! Igor gave us much more history and information at each of the historic stops along the way. Following our time at Krka we visited Anté Sladic winery. We had also been there 5 years previously, but they had added to their wine line up. We tasted 2 types of olive oil and a cherry and walnut liquor. It was a great way to start our week in Dalmatia.....thanks Igor!
Our guide was Neena and she was very good.Friendly knowledgeable and funny at times. She explained clearly about the visits.Sibenik was very pity. The view from the the cathedral view point was good
