Vous traverserez également la campagne jusqu'à la ville agricole de Katwoude pour visiter une fromagerie et le village de pêcheurs de Volendam. Voyez un moulin à vent industriel en marche de l'intérieur et votre guide vous expliquera tout son fonctionnement. Vous pourrez monter les escaliers menant à la plate-forme.
Visitez une fromagerie à la campagne. Ici, vous visiterez l'écurie des vaches en jersey et vous recevrez une explication sur la fabrication du fromage dans la fromagerie où vous pourrez essayer tous les différents fromages.
Après le déjeuner à Volendam, vous marcherez le long de la célèbre digue avec l'ancien port de pêcheurs. Depuis Volendam, vous ferez une excursion en bateau le long de l'ancienne mer intérieure

We had the most wonderful, knowledge-filled, and downright fun day on our private tour with Callum. What a character! I can't stress the benefit of doing something small group in an area with so many points of interest to ensure you don't miss the pertinent history that may be unheard or not shared when it's you and 20 other passengers. Callum took his time when we needed to slow down due to our aged knees, and was open to tweaking the itinerary. As a seasoned traveler, I can say without hesitation that this was one of the top 5 tours I've taken. Kudos, Callum AND Zaan Tours 👍

Ingrid and Hans were wonderful. I was extremely Impressed with our tour day and these lovely people. Extremely knowledgeable, professional and above any expectations I had set. Very friendly, giving and so accommodating. They went out of their way to make us feel welcomed to their country and their business. There were too many unique experiences to list but I will say, do not miss out on this tour and especially this tour guide. You are in excellent hands and will enjoy it 110%. Maiky (spelling?) was our guide for the day. She was full of personality and information. The vendors at the different stops knew her which was helpful. The windmill stop in Zaanse Schans was great. We could take as much time as we wanted and weren’t rushed. We enjoyed the cheese stop and clog demonstration, as well. We were able to choose from 3 restaurants for our lunch and Maiky had the menus available for us to look at in advance, which we appreciated. Volendam was nice, too. My 2 points of constructive criticism are this- we booked many tours for our 12 day trip and all tour operators EXCEPT this one, sent a message via Viator several days in advance letting us know the details of the tour as fart as tour guide name and reminding about the start time. This co. Did not acknowledge the booking ever which didn’t give us the warm, fuzzy feeling that they even knew about it. My second point is the ferry to Marken was unnecessary. We took the 30 minute ferry while our guide drove t Marken and she met us there. But we didn’t know where to meet her. She said “she’d find us” and it was not as easy as that . We wasted more time looking for her than enjoying Marken. I would recommend driving to Marken with the guide and allowing her to show you around. Or skip Marken altogether and spend more time in Volendam. Even with my last 2 points I do recommend the tour!
Excellent resident knowledge! Tour included Village, Farm & History content; old, dike with reclaim background, new tech farming & fishing overview. Lunch with local residents away from tourists was appreciated for quality and culture. The dairy farm has on demand robotic milking with individual cow data base for milk production. Village had various working windmills. Volendam boat transfer had fabulous onboard ferry local engagement, easy for Canadians. Get off the beaten path, experience.

We had a private tour. The tour guide was knowledgeable and professional. We did not like the price, which was very expensive.
Our tour guide was the sweetest person we have ever met. She has knowlodge about everthing and tell us very nicely. We loved our tour so much. One day we will come back to the city again and will deal with her again for getting a tour with our family and friends. She was friendly, nice and kind person. Thanks a lot for everything to her.
