This private tour combined two completely different sides of Tokyo, and both were fantastic. We started at teamLab Borderless, and having a private guide made a huge difference — instead of just wandering, we got context on the art installations and were pointed toward the rooms worth spending extra time in, like the mirrored flower room and the crystal world. The photos we got were incredible, and the guide even knew the best angles and timing to avoid other visitors walking into the shot. From there we moved to the Imperial Palace grounds, which was a great contrast after the sensory overload of teamLab. Our guide explained the history of the site and the surrounding gardens in a way that made the walk feel much richer than just sightseeing — details about the Edo-era castle layout and how the grounds have changed over time. The pacing was ideal: enough time at each site to not feel rushed, but efficiently scheduled so we covered both in one outing. Having a private guide rather than a group tour was worth it — questions got answered immediately and the whole day felt tailored to us. Highly recommend this combination if you want both modern Tokyo and its history in a single day.

Team lab borderless is amazing, the imperial palace and gardens serene and beautiful and Nori was so helpful and knowledgeable. We would fully recommend this tour!

Our tour guide Rick was great; flawless English & led us through Teamlab Borderless, subway transfer, and around the Imperial Palace with max efficiency! He was knowledgeable about relevant Japanese history & answered all of our questions as you would expect from a seasoned tour guide.
